This book is wonderful and super charming. But this meal is just the cutest.

The part about opium was good but is definitely obvious in hindsight to those of us in 2021. Interesting how this brush with being a criminal didn’t lead to more outcry back then.

I’m in the caffeine section and it’s very intriguing in how complicated the subject becomes when you examine it deeply

Chapter Two is brutal and great. The little details have everything. Same with the dad in four.

I thought wayward pines was a bit much, but this runs with the conceit really well.

I’ve just hit the daddest dad joke ever and if this is all the book was building too it would be great.

Just hit the part where the character you’ve been waiting for shows up and it’s awesome. Awesome.

Agh the narration is even more unreliable and the mystery is greater and the stakes are higher.
