Spent a chilly Sunday with hot cocoa and this book. It was definitely a good way to spend the day!

I am enjoying this. It’s much “denser” than American crime novels. It’s smarter. I like it.

New author and new series for me. Originally published in Danish, it’s all set in Copenhagen. Super fun.

I really like this one. Part 1 was 25 years ago; part 2 is in the present. It’s a cool way to tell this particular story.

Once again, this series is SO FREAKING GOOD. I think it’s just Krueger’s style, but it’s so easy to read and the stories are always great!

I read a bit more last night before the book hit me in the face. Damn shame since this is a thick book.

Carr definitely knows his weapons and how to kill bad guys. Goddamn.

Bit of before school reading. The geopolitical relationships in this one are super complex. Yikes.

Off to a good start, except for the fact that there is a bit too much “historical context.” Like a chapter has 15 pages of background and then 3 pages of dialogue. Just give me the dialogue sooner.

I’ve been reading this for a few days, but just kept forgetting to update my activity here. Whoops. The relationship between Thea and Alex is super unrealistic, but that’s okay. I like it anyways. Esp bc Alex definitely looks gorgeous in my head. Like another Alex I knew once.

This is fun. I listened on my way up to the lake yesterday for the entire ride. I love Taylor’s honest vulnerability mixed with her humor.

Been listening to the audiobook version of this. I’ve always liked her comedy. The audiobook is pretty decent, too. I’m glad she’s the one narrating it!

This finally took off a bit. Gotta admit I’m not a fan of the Trent and Avery “romance” — I want them to just be friends drawn together by family history. Any blossoming romance is just a dumb addition to this macabre story.

Meh. This is okay. I mean, I don’t LOVE it, but it’s a decent story. I’ll likely finish it.

I’m enjoying this overall, but Jesus it’s depressing. Prob not the best choice of novel while I attend wakes and funeral services for multiple people in the upcoming weeks. Ugh.

This is very good, though tough to read at times. Wartime stories always involve death and destruction to innocent people, but perspective is also a good thing. I must never forget how fortunate I am to have never seen war….

Finished! This was a fun one!

Just started this last night and it’s off to an okay start. I was super tired, so I honestly don’t remember much of it. Might have to start over today! But I generally love Lawhon’s work, so here goes!

Enjoying this one quite a bit. Reacher has already kicked some asses and is hunting down bad guys — the exact thing he does best!

This is so good. Reminds me a bit of A Prayer for Owen Meany. Julian is ridiculously mischievous and poor Cyril is just along for the ride….. but it’s damn funny.

Kinda cool that I only picked this up because it had a pretty cover and painted pages… but the story itself has got me invested. Plus it’s set in Italy and it’s so beautiful in my imagination….

Ok this is super dumb now…. And Cole is a total asshat. What a douchebag.
