Off to a good start so far! Definitely some good action!

Just started this last night and it’s off to an okay start. I was super tired, so I honestly don’t remember much of it. Might have to start over today! But I generally love Lawhon’s work, so here goes!

Read this in 2 days. Total trash. LOL

Enjoying this one quite a bit. Reacher has already kicked some asses and is hunting down bad guys — the exact thing he does best!

Off to a good start. Can’t beat a Reacher story! Usually. lol.

This is so good. Reminds me a bit of A Prayer for Owen Meany. Julian is ridiculously mischievous and poor Cyril is just along for the ride….. but it’s damn funny.

Kinda cool that I only picked this up because it had a pretty cover and painted pages… but the story itself has got me invested. Plus it’s set in Italy and it’s so beautiful in my imagination….

Ok this is super dumb now…. And Cole is a total asshat. What a douchebag.

This is dumb, but cute so far. Good end of summer read, even if Katie’s anxiety about her own body is a little too much for me….

This one is excellent!

This is excellent. It’s been awhile since I read an Allen Eakins novel and I regret not jumping in sooner. He’s like a mix of Steven King’s non-horror and a little bit of John Hart or Chris Whitaker. Really great storytelling!

Started this on the last day of the trip, but it’s very good. I read a bit more on the flight yesterday and then again early today since my sleep schedule is all thrown off with the time change. I am liking Karl a lot…

This is really interesting. It’s not a FAST read, but after scrolling social media, it definitely helps to regain lost brain cells. Plus it has great vocabulary!

I didn’t realize that 90% of this book is set in prison. It’s eye opening for sure.

Another good morning for reading. Every teenager should read this book. If this doesn’t steer you away from EVER wanting to serve time, I don’t know what will. It’s like that show Scared Straight in literary form.

Man, I am NOT OKAY. This book is gut wrenching. But it is also a beautiful glimpse into the grief and shock and anger that comes with causing a horrible accident. I always think about the victims… but I rarely think what it’s like for the people who create those victims.

Omg this is heartbreaking….. I can’t even imagine this kind of accident.

Another hour with a book before church this morning. Rainy Sunday mornings are the best for a book set on Nantucket. *smile* And no one does it better than Hilderbrand. But lord, these women are AWFUL.

Yesterday was a hard-core reading day for me. Lol. Between the storms and power outages, there wasn’t much else to do (oh darn). So far this isn’t my FAVE Hilderbrand novel, but it’s getting better as it goes. Right now it’s too much background on each person.
