I’m enjoying this overall, but Jesus it’s depressing. Prob not the best choice of novel while I attend wakes and funeral services for multiple people in the upcoming weeks. Ugh.

This is very good, though tough to read at times. Wartime stories always involve death and destruction to innocent people, but perspective is also a good thing. I must never forget how fortunate I am to have never seen war….
