I'm listening to the audio book and there are clear points at which the narrator has had to stop to compose herself. This book has me feeling all kinds of ways, most of which is anger, so much anger.

I'm asking myself if I am happy with the Potter series as it stands and do I really want to finish the screenplay? I'm leaning toward not finishing.

Red flags in chapter 4 have me yelling at Danielle Steel. The book started of so sweet and innocent and now I have knots in my stomach.

Oddly enough I've only read one chapter and went straight to the shopping list. I only brought what we actually eat and found some recipes online. We aren't 100% plant based, we've included eggs and seafood, but focusing on mostly vegetables has been a welcome challenge. We've both lost weight and noticed a difference in our energy levels. We are more conscious about what our bodies need.

Okay, I get it. I had to stop reading at that point that seemed so un-Potter like but after thinking about it adults don't always make the brave decisions that they did as kids because they know and fear more. Of course I'm going to finish it because I'm a finisher. I just wasn't expecting such a long hiatus. I'm sure the stage interpretation is so much better and I hope to see it one day.

My mother is making me read this and so far I am accepting that this is a good guide because I checked the index for bacon. Bacon is in the index and I have no idea what it says about bacon but I appreciate that the author realises that it is a topic that must be talked about along with cheese, ice cream, I could go on. I'm not kicking a screaming yet.

"And do feel free to take appropriateness into account; as George Carlin once observed, in some company it's perfectly all right to prick your finger, but very bad form to finger your prick."

Ever stopped reading a book because the character you like is about to do something you don't like?

I'm on the mystery with the crazy ex-wife who says 'it's all your fault I was a failure in Hollywood and had to be institutionalized', I had to put the book down at that point. Of course she is going to make him PAY! Oh, the drama.
