Axel and Wren are two years apart. In the prologue she was 15 and had gotten the horse one year prior. Then they jump to the future where they've graduated from college and they haven't seen each other in 2 years. Now it is 12 years prior, she has the horse, and he just started college. So in the present he's 30 and she's 28? Seems too old for her to be acting the way she does.

This book is like the most ADHD fueled frenzy I think I've ever read. In the first 10% I've probably said WTF am I reading at least a dozen times.

It's just insta-love. Almost too smutty. Needs some angst.

They're just so non chalant about her killing a dozen vampires. Why not just ask the vampires to leave? Then she spends weeks rebuilding the wards and like ok, just destroy them. No big deal. What the fuck

This book is way too long.

So the prologue is actually something that happens in the middle of the book...? Not confusing at all. 🙄

She's 23 years old and her brother treats her like she's 13. She acts more like she's 17, not a college graduate. Also, the word "smirk" appears in the book 58 times. Please get a new word.

Dani is a little too prickly. Being a bitch does not make you a strong female character.

This book is like the most random ADHD ramblings I've ever read. The inner monologues go on forever. Interesting premise, but really falls flat with the execution.

Very sweet book. I'm sucker for a "he falls first" with an epic chase while he tries to get the girl

But this is so long... Could be at least 100 pages shorter

Pacing is a little slow. Once you get about 60ish percent, bit essentially turns into a mafia romance which I wasn't really expecting. Let's see how this ends.

Okay so she was imprisoned for 2 years. He breaks her out. She is very hoity toity. "I am a princess! I can't steal things! Stealing is wrong!" It's getting kind of annoying. But I'm willing to see where this goes. Wish the author had addressed the matter of her hair, which she claimed was filthy and hadn't been combed in 2 years.

Also this feels like it's going to be a repeat of Carter and Grace's story.

Finally at 73% she has sex. That took entirely too long. The entire plot of the book was her being a virgin

45% into the 2nd book and the entire plot is that she's a virgin and other people want her. Like just get it over with already.
