I was unfortunate enough to see one quote from CC’s new book and it has managed to piss me off so I guess nothing has changed. Yikes !!!!

How do you deal with sad/unfair moments in books? Or those irritating ones where you’ve interpreted something differently than somebody else and now you’re unsure who’s right?
I unfortunately obsess. And overthink. I’d love to be the person who reads and forgets. Who’s brain understand it’s FICTION. Writing my own story helps but not always.
What about you guys? Any tips?

If you struggle with over thinking when a book is “unfair” I suggest writing. When I start overthinking like mad, I start writing and it lets me calm down.
Surely I can’t be the only one who has episodes of horrible overthinking about “this book is so upsetting and unfair on its characters.” ... hopefully.

Heartstopper is legit the most heartwarming comic in the world but also really heart breaking because my baby Charlie goes through too much shit and I know there’s still the worst to happen and ahhhhh why couldn’t he just be happy and get help before the worst happened, he has such amazing friends and a boyfriend and family. He’s so smart and talented and too good for the world. He deserves better

Damn I hate bullies and homophobes and all idiots. Heartstopper really puts it in perspective how much they can hurt a person. My baby Charlie 😞 it was all fun and cute till I found out how much that boy will suffer.

Anyway, read Heartstopper because it is the most heartwarming LGBT story I had the pleasure to read.
So great and sweet and awesome yet not boring and cheesy.

Jem dies and sacrifices himself for eternity only to find out that the woman and man he did it for lied to him, woman because she was waiting for him to die instead of telling him she loves his brother because then everyone would find out she’s a cheat, man didn’t want to look like a prick either. Both fucked and giggled the second the boy died. People gonna call it best love triangle. Fuck off.

Jem was treated like shit and Tessa was the worst heroine treating both guys like fools in the infernal devices but people still gonna say it was the best love triangle ever written. Yikes.

I hate endings where people interpret them differently. You think it meant this, they think it meant that. So who’s right. Do I love it or do I hate it. Ughhhhh.

My two recommendations for LGBT month:

Bloom by Panetta - graphic novel
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe - novel

Both heartwarming

It is so wholesome when at the end B screams that she lied and the truth is that Fitz always loved Fool the most and they can finally be together away from a world that only hurt them. I mean happily ever after was what they deserved but they’d never have it in that fucked up world. And Fitz reaching out for Fool with “Beloved” on his mouth. I can’t deal. What a love story. ❤️

It’s weird I will torture my characters but freak out when I find out that the book I’m suppose to read has the author doing the same. When did I become such a weakass. I enjoyed it once. Just needs to have a satisfying after. (I’m struggling to begin Hobb’s series because of that) boy boy boy

No happy ending books leave me with such a pointless feeling. Everything for nothing.

I’m happy the era of crappy love triangles is slowly ending and we are dealing with real issues instead of omg tragic love triangle... ya man if she stopped screwing both guys it wouldn’t be tragic that’s all it ever was

Finally re-arranged my books so everything fits on the shelves instead of the floor but I had to give up the technique of “as long as every book is a little visible”. I need to start selling or donating!

When you find out Robb separates Fitz and Fool twice **sighs deep inside** that very final ending thank god it doesn’t end up like this again. Minus that one sentence that made some people doubt it and annoy me. Still I read it over and over again and I found no lie in it.

CC and her milking her own series is becoming hilarious. Like holy shit. If they were any good at least. Trash continued.

Is there anything more frustrating in life than reading a sad yet such fulfilling ending that could not be more perfect and then finding out there’s a theory that it was all a lie. So you re-read and that theory makes no logical sense but there’s this dread inside you, this doubt. Horrible.

Guys, I am so glad Holly Black is finally getting popular love. I remember always being mad that you-know-who [CC] was more popular, because Holly's books were so much better written. Here is to her overtaking.

Hey authors if you torture characters through all novels we actually like them to at least have a happy ending, it’s what they deserve, it’s not cheapening to the story. There’s nothing “funny” about leaving your readers feeling with empty feeling and no hope.

For someone who is a weak ass when it comes to tough themes I somehow always end up reading that type of books. And I don’t mind the sad moments but I need that redemption at the end. Otherwise it’s a very empty feeling afterwards. How much sadness can you take, give me something happy. Knowing my reaction I just end up stressing before even reading. Stupid.

Is there anything worse than thinking you have this heartwarming ending and you do this stupid thing of reading other people’s opinions and suddenly their opinion of it ruins it completely, so you re read to see if you got it so wrong but no their opinion does not make sense and yet you have this sickening feeling of worry because what if. Horrible

How do people read books, finish, move on with their lives? I want to just read cold and not care after. Life would be so much easier.

I have all Robin Hobb's books and now I'm terrified to read them because I've spoiled myself the ending, sort of, the main thing I know is that it ends sad, but, see, I can deal with sad if it is sad "they died together" and I can't deal with sad "one dies the other lives on, possibly as if nothing happened too". On the other hand, I got to say, all those books and no happy deserved ending? Hopefully at least content

I hope I am not the only one who will refuse to read the annoying book but might watch the movie based on it because my criticism of movies is so much lower than books. I won’t watch the terrible book but the book just a little too annoying to read? Meh!
