I have all Robin Hobb's books and now I'm terrified to read them because I've spoiled myself the ending, sort of, the main thing I know is that it ends sad, but, see, I can deal with sad if it is sad "they died together" and I can't deal with sad "one dies the other lives on, possibly as if nothing happened too". On the other hand, I got to say, all those books and no happy deserved ending? Hopefully at least content

i read the first book and half of the second one and found them so bleak and terrible. also every character is a complete dumbass aside maybe from the mc sometimes, but then no one listen to him so. the only character that’s worth it is the fool. i really hope you enjoy this series more, what with you having bought all the books and all.

I just find it really draining when you read and the characters never get a good ending. From what I’ve read it’s the sort of sad ending I’d accept but damn. Why are authors so depressing.
Well, most of all I wish I wasn’t such an emotional sucker when it comes to fiction, now that is draining *eyeroll*

I can deal with sad storylines but when I know I can look forward to a good ending. Give me that hope, damn. What’s the point of being a hero if you only get a bad ending?
