I'm kinda bored with this one. Really thought I was in for a five star series but nope. This is at best a 4 star read. I hope it is. I just find this couple to be very meh as characters. It doesn't help that they love art when I couldn't care less.

Why are we getting everyone’s perspective? Like why is the main guys wife a pov character, what has she got to do with the plot? I already dislike her pov with the whole motherhood is superior to everything, nothing compares like to some people yeah, not everyone okay?

What a rip off from Fourth Wing. She has to run up a mountain while people are killing others but she goes out of her way to help others, is attacked by a bully who bonds with the most vicious creature, while she bonds with the largest who never gets involved before until her. Replacing dragons with wolfs doesn't make this any least a direct rip off

No its really annoying how the conversation with her parents wasn't shown. We're not even told what was said so what was the point of that scene? Her parents needed to apolgize and air things out but nope, and not even going to mention the ex who used her to get to her dad?

Don't just tell me they talked, show me!

Kingfishers father went for a love potion that said 'the object of your hearts desire will be powerless against your advances' and went yeah I want that. Thats disgusting behaviour, yeah he didn't get it but he wanted to. That is so problematic, the fact Kingfishers mom still got with the man who was willing to assault her and Kingfisher sees that as romantic? Its not dude!

'The female didn't come' just say the vampire didn't come. I thought female was a term for fae, why they using it on vampires? We know she's female, we don't need to hear it every time.
Fisher knew it was his friend on the roof, so why did he say male. Its so overused I'm getting freaking annoyed with it.

This girl is so dramatic. Her friend is upset with her and decides to get some space. Her response is im all alone now, I have no-one, our friendship is over!
Girl what??? She just wants some space from you, she's not dumping you as a friend, Christ.
And then she goes with the love interest from I hate him to he turns me on, overnight!
Oh boy. This is not going to get above 3 stars at most
