Lovely prose and I admit to not having a clue where this is going.

Really enjoyed Blood Wedding.

Found this today while on a walk. It has a thriftbook sticker and the fact that it was donated in my neighborhood makes me happy.

Sometimes Goodreads pisses me off for being unwieldy and buggy and being indifferent to the community which has meant so much for so long.

All too often we view the play as an opera, awaiting the famous set-pieces as if they were arias, and overlooking the dramatic tensions in the give—and—take of the recitative.

Watched Querelle after work yesterday and the tableau was mesmerizing. The poster shot of Davis within the film is iconic, easily the equal of the Duke in Stagecoach or Clift in Red River.
