I don't understand how people are finding this book interesting/exciting. So far 90% of the scenes seem to be, "Atticus sits down with someone and have a long chat", sprinkled with a few fight scenes that Atticus just breezes through.

I just finished The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing and gave it 3 stars.

I keep expecting the characters to surprise me and have more depth, but they just don't.

Not perfect, and I'm still not a fan of Jeb, but Morpheus definitely improved near the end there.

I'm sorry, but if there's one moment where your body would not let you faint, it's when you're 20 stories high and you're balanced on a floating wooden board. Where your bloody sense of self-preservation?

Also, sand skating? Isn't there too much friction to get the momentum to go over a chasm?
And tying yourself to each other? Not going to help when you guys try to skate through sand, you'll just keep pulling on each other and killing momentum...

Starting to seem like that Alyssa is not really figuring out the solutions to problem much but Jeb is, which I'm not too happy about. I'm not a Jeb fan. But Morpheus is not doing too well either. When he's constantly putting Alyssa in danger and just flying out of there at the Mad Hatter's? Not cool.

Enjoying it so far, but not seeing much of a love triangle - seems like Jeb is the preferred male lead so far. I want to like Morpheus more, but there's not enough vulnerability to this character to make him a realistic choice.

Inconsistent characters, "Elise had talked about her dress so much...", I thought she was the quiet one?

"I just don't want to put someone in jail. That's not a princess's job. Magistrates do that." Talk about whiny and childish! America complains that hungry men should not be put into jail, but then says Magistrates can do it. What kind of Princess would you be when you shirk from your responsibilities, especially when you see injustice being done?

If you're going to make a bloody announcement about getting rid of the caste system, you should at least also think of a method. How can her lack of preparation be seen as anything other than childish?

The big argument between Maxon and America after she caught him with Celeste - wtf, he man-handles her and she gets excited? What kind of message is Cass trying to give to the YA audience?

Great, now she has trouble figuring out a philanthropy project and thinks Aspen can help her. Can she do nothing on her own?
