idk i don't think this book is nearly as smart and complex as it needs to be in order to deliver something that a tweet would not be able to but we'll have to wait and see

I sort of wish that the book didn't do the whole flashbacks and everyone gets a pov thing. It would've kept it much more suspenseful and less transparent. And it's not it is like it is an exploration of those characters - if Hawkins wanted to build up their complexity, she should have just done it within the main pov / plot line maybe?

Should have - admittedly - started book club book earlier because reading on a crunch is ruining the experience here. Maali Almeida is such a cool character though - almost too cool, to the point of seeming Hollywood-esque.

The reset was soooo good for Broadbent because this is actually readable. (She also actually has a structure to work with which helps, as per her own previous admission)
