Good, but *oof* has some of this dated poorly.

Interesting introduction by the author (written around the time of #16 in the series), which puts some things into context.

An interesting start. Davenport is a bit more
‘90s, if that makes sense. Clear evidence of how good the series was going to be, though.

Second half is a bit less engaging, but not through any fault of the author — the story just becomes less interesting when everything became more corporate.

The Goldstein passages and what happens after Winston’s arrest are rather drawn out… Well-written, sure, but drawn out.
