honestly i like how it wasn't exactly the same scenes to scenes compared to the film adaptation; made it more interesting to follow the story in its original medium.

How come these two people who are so exceptionally adept at playing mind games when it comes to business, but when it comes their feelings their IQ seemed like it just flew out of window😭

ch 39 was just............idk what to say but the angst in this danmei just hits different for some odd reason 😭 😭 😭

it's probably been a while since i last read stuff that doesn't smell insta-lust or love from the first few pages lol so yeah i really liked it so far. the writing's really good too, i always liked reading mcs that has an entertaining voice and perspective that it didn't feel like a core to read their povs and jude is exactly like that.

just when i thought colin deserved everything and lowkey wanting ethan to not hurt our sweet guy but colin just had to do stupid things like that. urgh i reaaaally hate misunderstanding no matter how short-lived it was. he could simply ask ethan (exactly like what ethan did a few chapters back) but he didn't and that made me😑😑😑

there's this certain tinge of melancholy that i found scattered throughout mu su li's works due to its characters' backstory and i think that's what makes it so special. it's even more evident with the way the relationship between gu yan and yan suizhi was so inexplicably tender, heartfelt, and vulnerable at the same time, with the very fact that it took genuine progress and growth to build it along the way.

What truly hurts about Fox is probably how no one saw him through even after spending years with him. Not Brendan, not even his crews :(

Jarang baca novel yang tema kantoran-nya kental banget; sampe sekarang kayanya cuma pernah baca Resign! dan 1-2 titel lain yang aku udah lupa judulnya. Dan baru yang kali ini yang dari page pertama tuh berasa seru dari segi banter dan karakter-karakternya, terlebih lagi karakter bosnya masih manusiawi gak creepy gimana gitu. it's a lovely contradictory that despite being easy to lose his temper, the way song-yi embraced his unexpected differentation was so mature and calm at the same time. he prided himself on the strength he owned throughout the years, and that showed despite things not going the way he foresee them to be.
