Okay so I was right about the militia let’s goooo

My other theories:
- The mom is DEF alive and has something to do withy lyssa. Either she created it or someone like her did and she’s trying to stop her
- Odessa has powers for sure and that explains her necklace and her eyes. She’s the key to either find a cure or eradicate lyssa
- I KNEW the powers only bothered her I should’ve said that earlier

My predictions:
- The militia is infecting soldiers with lyssa on purpose to create “super soldiers” and not all of them survive, that’s why they never contact their families
- Her mom is not dead and is somewhere in Turah. Maybe that’s what her dad is looking for and thinks she was kidnapped but she actually left on purpose bc he’s the bad guy?

I’m extremely confused like I actually never expected Zavier to be a piece of shit ??? not me thinking we got the plates prisoner’s plot twist and maybe she’d be in love with both just for them to be the same person. I’m so confused omg and I feel stupid

So I love a little miscommunication here and there but omg, being like “SAVE IT I KNOW YOU HATE ME” is just not it for me. I want to know what her condition is tho so I’ll keep going but it’s definitely not the best i’ve read. I feel like too many things are happening and we find out by them “confessing” it rather that see the things play out and that’s just not working for me

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. Something about the writing feels off and the characters seem kind of unlikable? The girl is rude and insufferable like “I want to move on from this” and she has a literal health condition??? And he’s kind of an asshole too. Idk I’m hoping it’ll get better

This was spectacular but the way they made such a hugeeee deal about their first date just for it to turn into a therapy session is turning me off. Up to here tho? flawless

Ellie is a bit childish tho? Like “he rejected me” when he literally just told her “we want different things but I like you”. She could’ve just said “you don’t know what I want, let’s try anyway”. And I feel like it’s getting a little repetitive

I’m sorry but if my kid told me repeatedly to go away and literally only had eyes for the nanny I would riot too. It’s almost uncomfortable to read their dynamic

I’m sorry but she deserved to be fired and the kid’s attitude sucks????

I’ll give it a few more pages but probably will DNF. It’s not giving any angst, she’s still moping about the ex husband and they’ve almost kissed twice which is so weird and rushed for a book that is at the same time feels SLOOOOOW
