Love how there's an example chapter while Lisa highlights the humor hits so we as the reader can take conscious note of how an author crafted the page for us to laugh at. Gives good assignments to help train us to learn how to up our funny game on the page.

I had been seeing this book floating around my online world and decided to pick it up. Very enjoyable thus far.

So far the characters, both fuzzy and human, are well-drawn and interesting. The story currently has five points of view, Abby, Quinn, Reva, Georgia (Reva's dog), and an abandoned wolf-dog. Each character has its own distinct voice and story to tell.

This book is drenched in words and loves to decompose language and our use of words. At 50%, the book switched time and perspective to Karen. I had a hard time caring and continuing on. Then events & relationships were reevaluated and deconstructed from this new vantage point.

The only way I can get through the unending sea of words is that I'm a fast reader. The premise is interesting, but not my preferred style.

If I wasn't reading this book at the request of a good friend, I would have stopped. For me, there is too much description of things that doesn't seem to add depth to the story and the cast is quite large which can get confusing about who people are and why I should care about them.

I like how the author goes into detail about how and why a skill should be used.

Seriously, Lilah needs to quit whining about not giving into her boyfriend for the whole book & make an effort to actually change. At this point, I'm not sure if she changes or not.

Someone recommended this author to & the hold list was a few weeks long at the library, all good indicators I should love the book. The writing is clean & characters nicely done, but it's like the two characters are alone in the world with how little they interact with anyone else. The have sex & insecurities & not much else. I am hoping the story comes together here shortly. I may be waiting in vain. We'll see.

Suspension of disbelief snapped when the main character, who has isolated with her husband prince that she's known all of a few days, says that he knows exactly what the main character is thinking. Please ignore the fact that the she & the prince come from different backgrounds & life styles, apparently he's a mind reader.

While the situation is interesting, not sure about the story as a whole.

The story seems interesting & right up my reading alley & yet, I am having trouble with the rambling asides & the glossing over of what I would imagine important conversations. For example, the dinner she apparently tells her parents that she is going to be on this TV show & I have no idea who says what to her since there are no dialogue tags. We'll see how this goes as I read.

The preface had vague language, specifically it & that, that I had no idea what the character was referring to & had to stop & reread to understand what the hell was going on. Additionally, the preface while it let me know the main character was in a tight spot, I didn't have a name for her, only a physical description. Then the next page started Chapter 1, which didn't tell me if I went to the future or past.

The story is . . . different & not just from the setting or premise but from the huge amount of description and navel gazing in the writing style.

Not sure how this book was recommended to me but it is disappointment thus far. There are too many subplots that seem to be masking as a cohesive storyline.
I will keep reading to see if the story untangles itself.

Subject is interesting, writing is hard to stay engaged. There only so many times you can shift point of view without me getting cranky. I know this author was a NYT bestseller sooo here's hoping I can get through the first book.

I have checked this book out but I need to go buy the book because there are so many good points that I want to have this on hand.

Ever read a book that expands your mind? Well, this one while was difficult to start it's making me go deeper into thinking about trauma of all types and how unprocessed emotions can stymie a person.

A random find from the library stacks & I am impressed by the pacing of the story thus far it is tight & is holding my interest.

I've been waiting for this book at my library & I'm so glad it was purchased again because it is oh so good. Yes, I know I'm only a little ways in but it is fantastic.

I am enjoying this book & Kitty's adventures.

I like this book sooo much better than the last one. The story feels tighter & focused.

I love the snappy dialogue in this series & the pacing but I feel like every page the characters talk about at least 10 people who aren't in the room. The cast of characters are memorable but it seems like there are too many.
