This book is drenched in words and loves to decompose language and our use of words. At 50%, the book switched time and perspective to Karen. I had a hard time caring and continuing on. Then events & relationships were reevaluated and deconstructed from this new vantage point.
The only way I can get through the unending sea of words is that I'm a fast reader. The premise is interesting, but not my preferred style.

If I wasn't reading this book at the request of a good friend, I would have stopped. For me, there is too much description of things that doesn't seem to add depth to the story and the cast is quite large which can get confusing about who people are and why I should care about them.

The story centers on Sarah & David's relationship with each other and the growing awareness and development of Sarah via her theatre training in high school.
Much head-hopping. Sarah and the rest of her classmates know what the other is thinking and feeling. There are future references of things they'll know when they get older, & a large amount of description without dialogue to break the navel-gazing
