I keep waiting for more of the paranormal part of the book, but mostly this is the story of her finding her way in the world. That’s OK, but I’m.. wishing for a little bit more story built around it

It’s unfortunate. People left bad reviews on this because the teenager uses “bleep“ instead of swearing. It’s explained, and fully makes sense in the context.

A civilization made of creatures who could easily live off the land, find their own food and sleep anywhere. Would have no oppressed lower class because there would be no mechanism, no leverage. Such a wild thought.

So many books of this era, contemplating what it means to be a human, what it means to be an individual, etc…

I’m 10 chapters in and she still trying to figure out how to accept this new life. There’s no mystery yet….

She referred to wrinkles and she got upstaged by a younger woman.
And then she says she’s not even 40 yet. Who the hell is writing these things? 21-year-olds? “well, this must be what it’s like to be 39 I know you’re just waiting to die!”

I’m having a hard time finishing this. I was trying to analyze why, and I think the answer is there are no characters you actually love. There is nobody you are rooting for. Between that and the authors creepy relationship with women, I’m struggling.

Yeah, this author clearly has a really creepy relationship with women. I’m gonna finish the first book, but I don’t think I will follow up within the next one in the series.

I am not loving this.
There are several more books and I may like them, so I want the backstory, but I am not loving this.

OK, some of this is a little hokey and overplays the “old and creaky” thing, esp for 41, but overall, this is pretty fun and the mystery is decent so far.

The second person storytelling method is really weird. I think we have seen the why but I would really prefer if they got away from that.

Yeah, this is pretty fun considering it was a free kindle book. It’s a bundle deal, so it’s actually three books. But it’s bubblegum rating and that’s not a problem.

Holy cow, that epilogue. It’s wild. And also really funny.

This is surprisingly engaging. A little busy? But fun so far.

OK this is some next level ridiculous. Kind of too much? But fun at the same time

OK I don’t know what’s up with the woman who wants womanly clothes. And the stupid ballgowns. I’m really hoping at some point there is some mechanism here other than sexism. This isn’t even Dungeon Crawler Carl where you might have a hint where these things came from.
