I keep high-lighting stuff in this book, ugh, Theodora, stop already with the perfect prose and good dialogues! One can not finish a book timely this way, you're messing with my reading rhythm. So, not the plan.

The dialogues in this book have me eye-rolling constantly. I'm afraid that @ the end of the book they may have stayed that way. I might have to part ways with Ancelli after this one. I can't deal with the corniness (is that a word?)...ok, reading along, because the masochist in me wants to know what will happen...woo is me, people, woo is me.

Just ended a Ruthie Robinson re-read marathon because I wanted to finally sit down and review her stories that I’ve read so far. And truly enjoyed the books the second time around. Now off to reviewing.

Are you kidding me right now? Military woman is being harassed by some civilian dude in her office and she calls for the MPs to come rescue her instead of kicking the guys butt herself? Seriously, dudette, grow some balls! This was clearly just the vehicle for the Hero (military man) to become her knight in shining armor, ugh...totes believable....NOT! Not sure I will be finishing this one

A re-read for the umptieth time. Because this Great Author, born and bred on the island of Curaçao, passed today. Because this book is Curaçao at her best. Because even written in 1973 it still is relevant. And because this book will forever be in my Top 10 Literature & Fiction.
