This is not a platform that I go to for political bs or to be attacked for stating that I didn't enjoy a book (and come on, it's about a freaking alien and a human)! I never expect everyone to agree with me, but I do expect that we respect each others right to an opinion! Keep scrolling, keep your toxicity to yourself, show some maturity, and check your impulse to bring others down ~ because it's just ugly.

I've been missing lately with a ton of life changes and craziness that has taken away my beloved GR and reading time. What have I missed in the past month -ish?! I really need a good read next....

Sorry, y'all M I've been a horrible GR friend lately 😅 With a virus that won't go away, busy teenagers that always need a chauffeur/cheerleader, and being swamped at work -- I got mega behind on reading and being on GR. I just got home from our family vacation and realized my iPad got left in our rental car ~1700 miles away. So! I have all my templates and reading apps on that device, which now makes reading/reviewing much harder than usual. I might have to take a break until I get it back, just FYI...😢

Sorry I’ve been MIA lately and if I’ve taken forever in responding to any messages. With 4 kiddos finishing school, getting ready for one’s HS graduation, and preparing for a family trip, I’m not getting to read and be in GR as much as usual. Hopefully things will chill out soon! 🤪😅

Re-reading this because I rated this 5 stars before I wrote reviews…I’m really struggling here. Not with Remy — he’s alpha, possessive, damaged, yummy goodness! But Brooke is driving me bananas! To the point I’m ready to call it quits and remove this from my favorites shelf 🙈

I’ve been struggling and unmotivated with this one…why can’t they just stop assuming things and freaking talk?!

I really don’t want this to be my second book in a row going on my DNF shelf, but I am struggling getting into this. It seems like there is a lot of the development (and steamy scenes) off page and just referenced after the fact — which really bugs

Hopefully this picks up because it’s feeling sooo slow for me to get into so far…

I’m convinced Goodreads is trying to force me to use the app instead of the website like I prefer…it hasn’t been showing my friend reviews at all! It’ll say “0 friends or following reviews” on every single review, which I know isn’t right! Especially when I scroll down a find a few. I might actually start using the app if this doesn’t get fixed soon, but I really hope it’s improved since I tried it years ago

Is anyone else over the bully theme?!? Seriously. I feel like that’s one theme that takes a certain type of author to pull it off but everyone and their dog is making a go of it! It’s been more miss than hit for me because there has to be some good reasons behind the bad behavior to make it work. Seems like every NA book on the GR browse page is a bully romance and only m/m bully books have worked for me lately…

Dang. I’ve only read one of the picks for best books in the romance category for the GR 2021 Choice Awards. I need to get over this weird prejudice I’ve built about the cutesy illustrated covers being just about the hype because they’re all like that! Though if I’m completely honest, I haven’t really been on board with the winners the last few years. 🙈

I’ve been tempted to add this to my DNF shelf a few times now…I’m struggling with this one 🙈

I am so used to the web formatting of GR because I hated the app/mobile version and now they change it up on me! Anyone else hating this?!

I get we all grieve in different ways…but this h (if she’s supposed to be the h) is ticking me off and I find I’m not really rooting for her because this H is awesome and deserves better at this point. And I know I haven’t been told the whole story yet — but I’m really hoping she becomes more likable…
