I’ve gone into this book blind and at the 31% point but have to say it’s not really grabbing me. It’s taking me a long time to read it. Going to keep going though, so many great reviews! Trusting it will pay off.

Halfway through and just got one minor answer. Lots of secrets in this family but I have to admit it’s dragging quite a bit. I’m having trouble feeling the chemistry between H and h also, probably because she is still so resistant after a book and a half...

Still enjoying this book, but after the h’s resistance throughout the first book, and continuing 27% into this book, it’s starting to get old. Same back and forth with no progress.

(Possible spoiler) 70% through and this girl is just constantly miserable. I don’t know, usually with books like this the h has fallen for the H, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. 😕

Whew, This is shaping up to be a very dark read indeed. There are a few technical issues, and the writing doesn’t flow as well as it could in some parts, but the story is good and I can easily ignore those little problems. This one definitely has my attention.

This is pretty good, especially if you like true crime/detective stories. I don’t know what it is, but lately I feel annoyed by the h’s friends in many books I’ve read recently. I’m starting to skim the parts including interactions with friends. Maybe bc there’s no sex in those parts! 😂

I’m enjoying this. There are definitely editing issues and a decent amount of repetition that could have been removed, especially Mackenzie’s inner dialogue and interactions with Baz. HOWEVER - the mystery is very intriguing and that’s what’s keeping me interested!! I need to find out what’s going on here!!!

Love taking time away from work to spend lazy days on the beach with a good book. What could be better???
