“I had suggested you cover up a certain body part so it didn’t get burned with bacon grease splatter.”
“Oh I’m gonna cover it alright.” He took a few long strides to where I was still standing and surprised me by scooping me up and tossing me over his shoulder in a fireman’s hold. “Gonna cover it with your gorgeous pussy in about ten seconds.”

“So I take it that’s official you wanna see about lookin’ into a future with me.”

“Yep,” I replied immediately.

“Fuck,” he whispered, his gaze falling to my mouth. “No bullshit. Out there. Open. My Jussy.” He looked again into my eyes. “Made for me.”

Deke nodded, knifed up, moved in to touch his lips to the slight bite mark he’d made with his teeth the first time he came inside her and he did that with his lips curled.

That mark was not going to go away. He’d renew it every time he needed to renew it. She was taking him everywhere for as long as this was working between them.

She lifted up slightly, reached out still connected to him, and dragged her purse from the nightstand to the bed. He turned his head and watched her dig in, pull her phone out and look at it.

She then looked to him.

“Joss,” she stated and took the fucking call.

Her mother was calling and she was taking that call while his dick was still hard inside her.

Deke felt his lips twitch.

Deke dumped the five packs of condoms on the counter at the convenience store in town.

He watched the cashier guy’s face turn startled before he slowly lifted his gaze up to Deke’s then turned it to Jussy who was standing close to his side, holding his hand.

The man’s face stayed startled as his eyebrows flew up.

Deke dipped his chin and saw her smiling bright, bold, huge and unashamed right at the guy.

His big hand cupped my jaw and he said, “Yeah, gypsy, I like you.”

I knew I was smiling big and happy when I corrected, “No, you so totally like me.”

Deke smiled back when he confirmed, “Yeah.”

That smile.

God.

I wrapped my arms around his shoulders, lifted up my head and gave him a hard, closed-mouth kiss.

He was not going to be able to go back to sleep and he was not going to have Justice, her hair, her ass, her legs and her tits all pressed into him the way she pressed into him when he was unconscious, getting all that fully conscious and knowing in detail all he wanted to do with it.

Fuck, he’d been forced to try to find sleep with a rock-solid hard-on he took pains not to let her feel for days.

Deke had no idea if he could work with that.

Her eyes swung around and up where she clearly spied her husband because she called out, “Hey, baby.”

Ty called back, “Mama.”

Ty’s rumbling “mama” might be better than Deke’s “baby.”

Though, not better than his “gypsy.”

“Hey, Daddy!” one of the little ones shrieked.

“Hey, baby,” Ty called back to his daughter.

Okay, that “baby” was even better than “mama.”

Yeesh. Mountain men. Who knew?

No girl without a man could have a friend with Deke’s chest (and stomach…and ass, it should be added).

It was torture.

Deke could be a teddy bear when he cuddled, making me feel small and safe and warm and protected just by wrapping his arms around me.

“You’re safe here, Jussy. Got me lookin’ after you. Got Twyla outside lookin’ out for both of us. Got your dad watchin’ over you. So stop yammerin’ to keep sleep away. Close your eyes, gypsy, and I swear to God, you’ll be safe in your dreams.”

God, he could also talk sexy, sweet and protective, like a verbal cuddle.

“Deke,” I called.

“Yeah, baby,” he called back.

He shook his head and I was realizing he did that when he thought I was being an idiot.

I just hoped he thought I was being a cute, amusing idiot.

I stood next to the fire pit that now had a beautiful rim of flagstone and did this with hands clasped in front of me.

Deke came slower, eyes to my hands at my chest, before they rose to my face.

“You regress to a six-year-old?” he asked.

“Do I have a new toy?” I asked back.

His lips curled up slightly. “Reckon you do.”

“Then yes,” I answered.

“Seriously?” Jen’s eyes drifted between Rachel and the brothers. “What kind of perfume are you wearing? Eau de Ménage? Where do I get it?” She shook her head and flounced off.

She bounced a little. He’d noticed that about her. She was always moving. She had more energy than anyone he knew. She couldn’t stand still. She bounced, and the bouncing made her tits wiggle. Rye decided he was going to throw himself off the roof. It would be an easier death than the death by sexual frustration he was going to suffer from Rachel.

“I sleep in a fucking closet because I can’t stand to be in the open.” His hands went to his hair, shoving it back even though there wasn’t enough of it to fall in his face.

Alexei shrugged. “This we can handle. We make nice closet for you. We tuck you in and close door.”

“Damn it. You don’t get it. You make this sound easy, but it isn’t.” Caleb practically growled his frustration.

“I will have to remember to not get injured while you around, dushka. The doctor plays favorites.”

“Caleb, he’s hurt.”

“Are you hurt?” Caleb yelled over his shoulder.

“This, I will survive,” Alexei answered.

“See. He’s fine.”

With my feet on either side of his hips, he commanded me, “Spread yourself for me, baby.”

I looked at him hesitantly. He really was pushing me out of my comfort zone tonight. It was scary, yet completely liberating. This might be taking it too far, however.

“Now, Elizabeth. Don’t make me spank you.”

“Dining room table,” I gave him my decision on an alternate location and I watched his eyes flash in a way I liked a whole lot.

His body relaxed, the mood in the room shifted, and he dropped his forehead to mine.
