I'm listening to the audiobook version of this and currently really enjoying her passage about how great walking is. I think about the benefits of walking a lot and absolutely love to do it frequently.

Some aspects of this book are great and some I feel miss the mark a fair bit. It is not the most cohesive but still giving me interesting things to think about.

I can't keep reading this. I loved Great North Road and I love a lot of the sci-fi ideas in this - Edenist technology is awesome. But I'm so done with almost every female character being a sex object. And I don't care for Christian religious stuff being a key plot point in sci-fi either. Just not working for me :/

The Reality Dysfunction (Night's Dawn, #1)

I love this book. It's fun and positive and a little like reading a season of Star Trek, with little adventures happening along the one year journey to their job. Highly recommend as an antidote to the despairing point of view that pervades a lot of sci-fi.
