I cannot get into this book. The writing is just too clinical and don’t really care for FMC. FMC husband cheats with her friend and tries to steal her company. Mmc is the lawyer he hires but Mmc doesn’t want to take the job cause Mmc is a jerk. FMC embarrasses husband by doing presentation of his cheating at his job

This was lackluster ending. FMC gave me anxiety driving accross middle America with half a million dollars in her trunk. There was a surprise pregnancy. They argued at the Grand Canyon and agreed to get over their hurts and do better. Would’ve liked to see their hea because based on the books they were pretty toxic

The MCs have 2 indecent nights. Mmc was kinda an asshole so author didn’t sell me on him. Only kept reading cause I wanted to see how it all ended

FMC is ex stripper working at bar with low effort bf. Rich hottie comes in with indecent proposal. FMC and bf go back and forth but ultimately cave to request. Why is bf getting any money? He’s doing nothing for this

This was decent. I liked the chemistry with mcs in the beginning and the reason mcs stayed away was due to the brothers struggle. I guess I didn’t love the FMC because she wasn’t like me at all. Which is not a bad thing but I couldn’t relate to her. I did like mmc and how he pursued her and set the brother straight when he cussed her out. Ultimately I enjoyed seeing my hoops fam the most.

Plus mmc treats FMC horrible and she still silently begs for him to want her. Also is mmc black? The description of him gave me nothing. Then the whole secret identity because of contacts a face mask and tattoo covering makeup. Like girl?! It just was painful at times. And not that I say this often but there was too much spice. I needed more depth. This was like a first draft

I really tried with this but the writing is rough and there are so many plot holes. Like didn’t mmc kill FMC dad and brother. I guess they were mean to her but give us some detail or else it’s hard for me to see her being able to see past that. Also MCs are apparently in love already based on crushes they had from one interaction.

This was a difficult read mmc is a diagnosed psychopath and kidnaps FMC after meeting her one time. Things I didn’t like bfs pov. The beauty and the beast storyline. Things I did like the spice

MCs already have history and are hooking up in the first few pages. I don’t know these characters at all so I’m not invested

Mmc was mafia but not an obnoxious ass like they so normally are. Still this lacked the heat I love from these types of stories and likely because the mmcs actually used their heads. Either way I enjoyed this.

I loved that characters were mature adults and while there was some hiding of feelings in the beginning it wasn’t obnoxious and they quickly confessed their feelings once felt and communicated. FMC was actually a good person and never betrayed mmcs trust even though she had plenty of opportunities. I could see why he fell for her.

This was pretty reflag. 15 year age gap and single mom FMC leaving abusive ex to be completely dependent on mmc who was basically a stranger. She was too trusting and desperate. Last straw was mmc saying it was no longer ex job to control FMC but his. Nope

Gave this another go and it was a mix sometimes I liked it other times I was wondering when it would end. Their love is cute but they came off a bit immature and the drama with the ex just didn’t hit and I live for om drama. I just don’t think this book was written all that well. But there was potential and I liked the friends to lovers aspect. Still once they got together I kinda lost interest

Absolutely not! Mmc is waterboarding FMC and is constantly threatening her pulling her hair, grabbing her and an all around abusive asshole. Never. If this is a dark romance I want no parts

Not loving the set up. Mmc and FMC already have history from previous books and mmc son who mmc accidentally killed his drug addict mom in a raid (wtf?) called FMC to set up a date with mmc. Me and this book ain’t vibing and I’m not gonna force it

Mmc has two love interests so I’m confused the Kennedy chick is not the FMC but has a pov which I absolutely despise unless done in a way I won’t hate like giving me two separate love stories in one. I’m just not loving the set up and since this is a series there’s a lot of back story and plot I’m expected to already know. Just not for me

I gave up but tried again and stopped for sure. Mmc lied about age hooked up with FMC while 17 she finds out and is rightfully pissed. People say she withheld the kid too long but idk I’d be livid also. Moving on Dante is a horrible name for a kid in a romance novel unless it’s a mafia drama. Mmc is lusting over other women. Didn’t care for any characters except her friend

After loving book 1 I was really excited for this but it wasn’t it. Mmc confessed his feelings for FMC after confronting her on a date out of nowhere. There was no buildup and they tried enemies to lovers but it fell flat as their interactions were not memorable. Mmc was Argentinean and spoke very formally so maybe that made it seem like he lacked emotion but this just came off super dry

I really enjoyed this mmc was into FMC and didn’t let up eventhough she was just widowed less than a year ago. I love a man who knows what he wants and treats her good throughout. There was necessary push and pull and I liked the spice and his slow and steady claiming of her. No notes

I don’t know why I keep trying the writing is just so bad. Also the characters are too immature and there are too many characters for me to care about

FMC (assistant) is the simp for mmc (rockstar) in the beginning and im not into that.

No clue where I left off with this but I definitely read part of this because the synopsis sounds familiar and I keep it in my queue for weeks

Thought this would be a good read as it was different. Inmate and FMC starting over on run from abusive ex. But FMC just pissed me off and just made decisions like still working at dangerous facility despite them not caring her crazy ex was there and coming back after being cornered by 2 inmates. The chemistry felt forced and I just lost interest

Maybe from previous years. This book just felt like mash-up of the authors favorite tropes and dream scenarios just thrown together. It left a lot to be desired.

This book had potential with bully friends ex following her to college to win her. But there were too many inconsistencies with mmc waiting so long into college to admit his feelings and all the lies he made up to get with her that made no sense. FMC was also an idiot and annoyed me. Then the competition show drama in college? Like what also he’s the bachelor every year? There’s no other good looking guys

I may have found this a bit boring cause MCs got together pretty early in the tatpty and the book was more about them navigating their relationship with his career and her golf course woes. It was a good book though and all about black excellence, love and empowerment. So I’d rate this highly on that.

Ultimately this missed the mark
