I don’t know what this is but I’m not into it

This was a mid read for me. I enjoyed the fast paced beginning with FMC showing up in er and almost coding and mmc freaking out but it seemed to stall somewhere in the middle once the romance really started. Couldn’t connect with the characters mmc took himself way too seriously and their love story just fell flat for me.

Miscommunication leads her to think he’s not into her. They marry and he quickly deads that. Spice was quick to the point. There are side characters and storylines I enjoyed and make look into later but the writing just really let me down. Felt like author could have gave me more. MCs dual virgins but even that was lackluster

This was mid. I liked that mmc was ott obsessed with FMC but the writing was very amateur unfortunately and it just felt like YA to me. FMC lives on mmc family compound cause dad works for his crime family. He’s secretly been obsessed with FMC for years but didn’t act on it. His parents force him to marry her she has always liked him but

Boring. Mmc and FMC are destined to be together FMC doesn’t know this. Mmc rescues her from attackers takes her to his village then spoils her with love and attention. Feels like there’s not much more to tell

Book is boring so far. FMC is sick marries grim reaper to save life. He likes her by default and tends to her.

Audio book so hard for me to get into. Not sure I’ll be able to connect with characters

This is too weird. The description of mmc is freaking me out and MCs still can’t communicate but are already grinding on each other less than 25% in. Not my thing

This is bdsm. Mmc is making an indecent proposal to have FMC punish him for money. Not my thing

She gets sick from the implant and when mmc finds her he wants to nurse her back to health. There’s still little communication between them but he bathes her and combs her hair and then out of nowhere FMC is horny and they start hooking up. The complete lack of build up and the fact FMC is throwing herself at this alien she has known for a day? Just turned me off. The end.

He doesn’t want to like her cause apparently this is bad in his culture (scenting glands and some other weird things). Also mmc genitals at in some sac, gross! Oh and mmc is apparently dying from fading? So he plans to off himself before that happens to not disgrace his family. Anyway fmc runs off with another human to steal a communication device from her dead lovers head.

I was into this as it was initially giving Ruby Dixon vibes with besotted alien mmc but it failed miserably. Mmc part of alien soldiers on some mission who come across group of humans struggling to survive. He falls for the leader calling her brave and though they can’t communicate he is drawn to her. There’s a lot of inner monologue of him wanting to protect her and being turned on by her.

Maybe this was an attempt to make FMC come off like a ball buster but what she said to the guy was so lack luster and lame. And with mmc being so much older than her u would think he’d be more protective and possessive especially with the whole sugar daddy thing. This was just a let down and at times cringey

Ok this is erotica I think so mybe that’s why the MCs spend most of their time inwardly lusting after each other and doing absolutely nothing else. It’s age gap FMC is like 26 and mmc is early forties I can get down with that. But the whole rockstar scene where mmc band mate was coming on to FMC right in front of him putting his hand her leg and touching her hair and mmc does nothing about it?

Also if I have to hear the word casita one more time I’ll rip my ears off. Idk it just wasn’t doing it for me.

Mmc reacted but I needed more and I liked the brothers reaction better.

This book was just coming off real juvenile and the writing left a lot to be desired. There was definitely potential with the storyline but poorly executed for sure. FMC was unnecessarily focused on her v card so much so the whole town seemed focused on it even some weird old lady with Botox (random). FMC got accidentally slapped in beginning of book by a drunk man fighting her dad

Sneaking around instead of the sis and him to save her sis rep.

They’re already losing me with this book. It’s on audio so that’s already strike 1-3. But I keep going in and out of it and at one point mmc called FMC a bitch (inner monologue) but still. FMC marries mmc to save sis reputation after some man shows up at wedding to old duke to accuse her of be a hoe and sneaking around with mmc. Mmc is a proud celibate so marries her to enact justice for her lying about them

And not seeming to have best relationship with mom but her dad had passed recently and mmc dad had dementia. There just seems like too much going on and was not holding my interest I skimmed and that was sign enough to give this up

Ultimately there was a lot going on with her renovating the inn but having plumbing issues and apparently the mmc also moonlighted as a diy plumber who knew all the coding laws and was apparently more qualified than the guy she hired. There was middle school aged bullying by the local mean girl, and a date where they hand fed a cow. Then drama with the parents her having been adopted

Comparing the 2 bros and it turns him off and she gets mad. She does this consistently even has her engagement ring out when he comes to pick her up later in the book for a date. She was whiny and irritating and I kept wondering how old she was cause she came off child-like. Mmc was a vet but acted weird around her moody cat asking her why she kept it, isn’t he supposed to love all animals or something

I’ve been trying with this book on and off for several days. The cover has you thinking it’s some epic love story. And honestly I love the pining mmc trope and FMC with the wrong man but this just wasn’t done well. FMC was with mmc bro when he first saw and fell in love with her so he never acts on his feelings. They almost hook up a while after they breakup but FMC says some callous comment

This is boring as ever I can’t get into it. I thought I would like it after being intrigued by FMC storyline in her brothers book and I liked the idea of poc representation in regency era but since it’s based on fiction I just didn’t connect and this author writes her characters with very little emotion so it just wasn’t it

The age gap on this giving me creep vibes. Fmc has some traumatic past which has led to her and her sister having to scam men in order to get by. Her story was initially intriguing even with fmc helping out another homeless woman get settled. But then I learned MCs have a 12 yr age gap and fmc is only 20. I can’t past it so we’re done here

I keep trying with this book but can’t get into it. MCs start lusting after each other way too soon they don’t even know one another enough for all that. Plus there’s some mystery incident that happened to FMC and mmc daughter was burned badly and now they’re hiding in the cabin. The story is just not resonating with me

I enjoyed the side characters and their love story though the epilogue was bit lack luster. Wanted to see a bit more of their life together .

The spice was really good and mmc just gave me the gooey love hearts with how badly he wanted to be a safe place for FMC. Asking her to move in standing up for her against colleges and begging her to be by his side forever. The villain of the story was obvious but the fact he tried to kill her at the end did go further than I thought but didn’t derail the story

I lived FMC story of being orphaned with twin sister young and shipped off to family all over world and for this reason she wanted desperately to find love and stability so much she settled for a douche and a cheater. Mmc always wanted her but was warned off by the bf. We never did find out what he said him when he finally learned the truth years later
