I have trouble with Xe Sands' narrations. I don't think I'll be able to finish the audiobook, so far the story isn't compelling enough to distract me from whatever it is about Xe Sands that bothers me (I think it's that she has a somewhat flat tone and indistinct character voicing, but I'm not really sure. It could just as easily be personal preference)

Does this book ever get interesting?

Loving this book so far. Narrator loses points! Not a Trekkie and mispronounced "Risa" ahh my ears!

I was as startled by this book as most reviewers, but I enjoyed the powerfully dark plot. It really draws attention to the way that women were so incredibly limited in options during this time period that they were forced to make terrible choices and betray each other just to sustain a meager existence entirely at the whim of men.

Content - 5 stars. Narration - among the worst I've heard due to mispronunciation of virtually every scientific term. It's painful.

Loving this audiobook! The narrator is great except she's repeatedly perpetrating one of my greatest pet peeves -- mispronouncing scientific words. It hurts my ears...Yikes!

Dear Authors Everywhere: Unless you are a comedian or other famous person whose voice is known and desired as part of the listening experience, NEVER EVER *EVER* narrate your own audiobook. Seriously, I cannot stress this enough. I don't even know if this book is any good because I can't get past how incredibly painful the listening experience is. Yikes.

Blarg. This feels so immature and the dark plot is weird. It's just weird. I think J.A. Redmerski is an NA/YA author and writing about older characters and dark themes doesn't change that.

Also, if I read the word "vociferous" one more time I'm going to scream, vociferously. It's not like the book is chock full of vocabulary words, she just really really loves 'vociferous'

Was enjoying this book even though I don't usually dig NA. Just found out that the 2nd book ends on a cliffhanger and there's been nothing from the author for over 2 years. Yikes. I better quit before I get even more involved in this story.

I can't stop listening to this audiobook!! This is the most enthralling book I've listened to/read in ages. So good!!

I LOVE this book!!

Does it read a lot like a biker version of KA's 'At Peace'? Yyyup, sure does. Is that a bad thing? NOPE!! Normally I'd be more annoyed but it's not like it's that similar in plot at all, it just has that feeling and since I love that book, why would I complain!

Sooo frustrated! I specifically waited to start this one until March 27th because the author's site says part 2 will be out March 30. Now I can't find any signs of Exquisite Karma coming out except Amazon's page, and it's not showing a release date until April 21st! ARGGHHH! I adore this series, Sarah and Swan are all time favorites but I am FURIOUS about this delay. Argh! Do I stop reading now?

can't get into this book, probably going to not finish! Astonishing since I loved the first part of this story in Ruin & Rule so much!

Nothing makes me more giddy than being 30% into a new KA book and still having 7hrs reading time left!!

Livia is one of my all time favorite heroines. She's just so freaking awesome!

Wow, this is intense and dark and so very readable. Definitely out of my comfort zone but I'm loving it!

Third time really is the charm! I started this again and really gave it a chance and now it will probably wind up being one of my top five KA picks, which says a lot right!

I haven't hit any real "romance" yet but so far I am ADORING this book. I can't even express how wonderful it is to begin a book by a new author and find it formatted, written and edited in such a way that it does not drive me nuts struggling to follow storylines or mentally correcting usage and spelling errors. I know this says more about other authors than Ms. Evans, but I am also enjoying the story thus far!
