Okay, I didn't realize this was inspired by Mr & Mrs Smith. I may have to give it another shot despite the goofy organization names for the coven and the hunters.

The first 5 Murderbot diaries are now on Kindle Unlimited - I love this series which is SF and the main character is an AI security unit which has disabled its control chip, is socially awkward and just wants to watch its 'shows'. This are pricey to buy - I did them via the library - so yay KU:) The first book is All Systems Red by Martha Wells.

These don't stick with me between books, but I'm still enjoying it.

I think that I like this better in audio, but then again I may just finally have gotten past my issues with the big rewind a couple of books back

I am happy to be back to the Hollows with Rachel and Jenks, but I really hate the vampire parts and all the pheromone descriptions - I am not looking forward at all to seeing Ivy again either. I do find the demon parts of the story interesting though so hopefully that will be more balanced this time...

So far the stories have been deleted/Bonus scenes for series I don't follow. So nothing has grabbed me so far. But the proceeds are being donated to Ukraine relief - both my parents had ukrainian care givers who had emigrated, so this is another way to help support the friends and family who were still in the Ukraine.

I like getting insight into Severn, but I am listening to this and having a terrible time trying to keep all the Barani characters straight - and everyone but him is Barani.

I have less natural audio book time lately due to my lack of commute, so this is taking longer partly due to that and partly due to the fact that I get rolling on this and start really enjoying this and then we hit another vampire part - I despise the vampires in this world and they are extra horrible here with the start of a bloody fight for Cincinnati.

OK, so I always get new books in this series as soon as they release and then drag my heels reading them. As soon as I start I remember how much I love Rachel and Jenks, but then - vampires. I really hate vampires in this world and it looks like this time they are going to be even more despicable. I am trying not to let that put me off, but I like the Demon and magic storyline much better.

I have to say the prolog was not great, it was weird, and I thought about moving on. But this actually has been pretty good once it got rolling...

This is very episodic, but I am enjoying the journey

As I am getting warmed up and the events and people are coming back to me, I am remembering what I liked about this series -Rachel and Jenks and Edden so far - and what I didn't - I disliked the Hollow's vampire mythos.

I kind of dragged my heels on starting this, the original series felt wrapped up and there was a promise of a HEA , so I was good -and this doesn't look to be a victory lap. All that aside, it is a bit of a challenge to come back up to speed on the world, especially since the world has shifted with the upheavals from the last book.

This was just updated with several illustrations and more bonus material - Curran and Jim POVs. If you already have the kindle version, you just need to update on your manage content and devices page.

Close Knit was a nice little story, I thought the Family magic was an interesting idea

I am just to the first Trent chapter and I am not on team Trent so far. I haven't read the other books, but the way he's hurt his girl pushing her away and pulling her back in for twenty years.

I actually kind of like grumpy guy heroes. It helped that Abe - who was an obstacle to another leading lady's career in an earlier book, is balanced out by more misogynistic characters in the background and that he really grows out if his alphahole tendencies.

His leading lady Ani is pretty great to - i like the wsy she handles her own sitch.

I didn't realize that this was a full length Billy and Scarlett prequel and that the end of their story isn't until November....

I am not thrilled with the love interest - he's kind of "too much, too soon". I do like her though.

I was only going to read a little bit... now it is midnight...I am going to hate myself when I have to wake up at 6 tomorrow to go to work ...
