I cannot stress enough how bad and stilted the dialogue is, my god. Every time present day Sin and Petra talk to each other it’s so PAINFUL.
I keep encountering this issue with current romance/romantasy/dark romance authors, they just craft the most unbelievable and awkward dialogue known to man 🫠

I’m entertained but man, the writing is abysmal 🥴 The dialogue is awkward af, the characters nonsensical in what they do and say, idek.

I really like how Hadrian reflects upon and understands the position he put Kyra in at the beginning. Self-aware dramatic king ✨
Also, I can’t help but find it funny how dramatic he is about the betrothal, my god, for once it’s a dude the main loser in a marriage of convenience and he’s crashing out bad lmao

Well, well, I’m enjoying the new mystery about the lost civilization quite a bit, that’s the kind of stuff I like.

The narrator is way too theatrical for every voice, although he is good. Just not my cup of tea.

Why is this Dune 2.0? But worse 😭

GOOD FOOD FINALLY 🙌✨ Like the first book, this one’s checking alllll the boxes for me, I love it.
Now THIS is the romantasy I love.
