Slippery Creatures (The Will Darling Adventures, #1)
I'm finding this audiobook REALLY hard to get into. I enjoy most of Cornell Collins/KJ Charles books BUT this one isn't doing anything for me. The premise hasn't convinced me or pulled me in. But primarily Cornell Collins is doing a TERRIBLE Northern accent for William Darling. William is from Northampton, that is in the East Midlands, close to Birmingham. The accent was totally wrong and bugs me every time I listen

Mainly by Moonlight (Bedknobs and Broomsticks, #1)
This book is, quite frankly, a clusterfuck. I've been trying to suspend my disbelief but it's not working. I remain incredulous to the fact the MC is supposed to have met, become engaged, organized a wedding AND PURCHASED A HOUSE with the love interest after knowing one another for TWO WEEKS. #headdesk

Orientation (Borealis Investigations, #1)
Finding the start of this VERY LONG WINDED. This kid has been in the office for three flipping chapters umming and ahhing and trying to tell his story. This is not the standard I expect from this author.

Criminal Past (Hazard and Somerset #6)
WTF happened to this book? It's a mess. I chose a police procedural/thriller. I'm now listening to a 'house of horrors' torture fest. WTF Gregory Ashe. None of this graphic torture moves the story along. It's gratuitous and not what I signed up for dude. I am majorly disappointed and need to put the book aside for a while.

A beautifully produced Audible production with a star cast of narrators. Mmm the lovely Douglas Booth has such a great voice.

Overcomplex, unoriginal. I'm not sold so far, but will keep going because I enjoy Gary Furlong's narration.

I'm finding this way to lame and vanilla. Nothing really happens and I'm 3/4 of the way through the book. I'm finding it hard to want to continue with it.

Oh dear! I kinda regret choosing this book already. The audio has two narrators, one good, the other not good. I hoped for a star/bodyguard romance but so far I've had 6 chapters of info dump about Maximov- a shallow uber-celeb with zero talent but great abs, and his way OTT Kartrashian style extended family. There are TOO MANY CHARACTERS. I'm waiting for a bomb to go off or something to get rid of a few!

Kidnapped by the Pirate
LOTS of info dump and stretching out a very simple premise with introspection. It's a very simple plot, the son of a rich man gets kidnapped by pirates. Pirate and rich man's son get jiggy... I'm hoping that there will be a bit more to bite into with this book. Fingers crossed.

It frustrates me when I like the work of authors who are unpleasant online. I usually just don't buy their work, but annoyingly K.J Charles books are generally good and she gets super narrators. Although I hate myself for doing it, I've got this audiobook.

Five Minutes Longer (Enhanced, #1)
I'm not too impressed with the writing. There is a lot of unnecessary description "He blinked, shrugged his shoulders, blinked again and took in a deep breath. He breathed deeply and then let it out slowly" That kind of stuff.
Also, we are at Talon's apartment for the 2nd time and it is written like its the 1st time there. He suddenly has a dog and there is no mention that the characters have been there before??

I seem to be having a run of bad choices in audiobooks these days. This is the third in a row I haven't enjoyed. The writing in this book is REALLY clunky and bland. I'm so disappointed.
