This book just keeps getting more and more stupid and ridiculous. Having sex in the church office was frustratingly dumb, and now in the sanctuary?! This plot doesn't make sense and consists of unnecessary ridiculous manufactured drama. But, so many of the books in this series are the same...

The plot interests me as does the male main character, but the writing is really starting to grate. There's this element of forced poetry in the style and tone. It isn't value added. It complicates the scenes to the extent that the story loses clarity - are they having sex or not, is she daydreaming or not, etc. It unnecessarily drags out the scenes, but without moving the plot forward.

In the book, the do over, Seb was a politician, but he's an architect here. What am I missing or misunderstanding?

This is already a disappointment and no matter what happens next - no matter how the plot or character arc evolve, this book will not get above 2 stars from me. How is it possible that Seb, who seemed to be the most reasonable of the three could call her a whore and act superior because he'd rather pay for it than sell himself? WTH? What kind is delusional hypocrisy is this?!

This has got to be Sylvia Day's worst series ever. The two MCs are ridiculous. They are so annoying, I can barely finish this book. I've been "reading" it forever, which has more to do with my OCD than anything else.

Just like in the first series, the men in these books have horrible tempers and say and do some of the wall shit when they're upset, and the women just take it. This is crazy. I guess I won't be reading more from this author.

I think it's gross and inay that they did that with kids in the room. What has T.L. Swan gotten into? This is crazy.

I don't usually find Nora Roberts' characters annoying. Sloan is annoying. I don't know how much more of her I can take.

The female protagonist inner dialogue is torturous.

The female protagonist’s inner dialogue is really getting on my nerves and it feels like she’s holding up the entire book. She’s an interesting character, I want her to get her hea, but getting there will be torturous if, as the reader, I have to navigate her inner dialogue the entire way.

The storyline was going so well but just took a detour toward stupid...

The female lead is so annoying that it's becoming difficult to finish this book.

The fact that Tony, a Japanese guy, grew up around Black folks, and integrated into the community, does not make him Black. I'm only into the book 7% and I'm already sick of the number of times he has called himself. Black or other characters have called him black. He is not Black! This is going to get old for me very quickly and I might not be able to finish it. It's actually offensive.

Every part and every character has grown more obvious, predictable, and annoying.

The direction of reconciliation is clear, but nothing about Diane's character has endeared me towards her or her past life decisions and their impact. I'm more interested in the other parts of Cassie's life and would be just fine with the mother-daughter storyline fizzling.

I can’t wait for this to be over. Characters like Libby annoy the hell out of me.

This is probably the most painful Sylvia Day book I've ever read. Her women characters are usually much smarter than this. I don't want to not finish the book, but this is a hard read, and it's going to take me a while to be able to digest this foolishness.

When the coach walked in on the two main characters getting ready to have sex, & he suggested another student join to make it a menage, I had to stop reading. The coach didn't check in to confirm consent. He suggested to the young man that it become a menage; he didn't ask the young lady what she wanted at all. What is he? A. / Pimp? This disgusted me. I don't know if I can finish this book.

At 78%, he finally thinks he should come clean and stop it with all the secrets?! When will this be over?

I'm kinda tired of the alpha asshole routine. I can't stop rolling my eyes at the two main characters.
