okay, edit to last update: bro has got some problems. not sure i’m so annoyed with K anymore. enjoying the change of environment and challenges faced. kinda getting a bit annoyed of Khalani’s feelings that Takeshi despises her despite his actions. boiling it down to “i’m not in that situation to know how it feels” just to get passed it. like come’on! look around! Also sorta wished we saw more from Winnie in book one because the depth of their relationship feels a bit fake at this point.

i’ve really been loving this author so far. I found this book on one of her Instagram posts. I’m so happy I started reading. I expect to be reading plenty more from her. I love the use of her vocabulary and hyperboles. It feels natural and not forced. I genuinely feel like I’m learning new words without feeling like they don’t fit. The dynamic between characters is intriguing and genuine to an extent.
