enjoying the change of environment and challenges faced. kinda getting a bit annoyed of Khalani’s feelings that Takeshi despises her despite his actions. boiling it down to “i’m not in that situation to know how it feels” just to get passed it. like come’on! look around! Also sorta wished we saw more from Winnie in book one because the depth of their relationship feels a bit fake at this point.

He can be hard to read. “Sometimes she caught him staring at her like she was perfectly imperfect the way she was. Like he wouldn’t change a damn thing.
