This series started off strong for me, but this book, specifically, has me seeing cross-eyed with all the BORING info dump. I'm ready to DNF this one because of it.

This is just porn-with-plot, and I'm BORED. I feel zero investment in the characters, and it's making me roll my eyes each time they get to the deed (yet again).

Sad to state this, but this story is boring. Zoey Draven's original Horde Kings series is a fave, but this new one is missing whatever magic made the other great.

SO BORING. DRAGS.

TWENTY-THREE chapters in, and I'm BORED. I understand the need for worldbuilding, but there's too much politicking & not much advancement of the storyline. I'm ready to DNF it, in fact. Not because it's badly written, but because it fails to hold my interest.

On a positive note, I'm listening to it in audiobook and always enjoy the male narrator (Lucas Webley).

I skimmed through a complete chapter because it was SO CORNY and BORING (featuring Theo & Daphne).

Aw, shit. This took a turn into a Theo & Daphne side storyline that was long, unnecessary filler, and so boring.

HOLY. EFFING. CHEESE. I absolutely LOVED Manacled, and it's my #1 Dramione fic. But this fic...THIS ONE is right up there. Like #1.5 after my #1. GOT. DAYUM.

It's so dark and lovely.

12 to 15 years ago, the Black Dagger Brotherhood series was THE definition of fast-passed, exciting, and SEXY. However, in this day and age, I find them boring, repetitive, and trite. I am Le Sad because I'm contemplating DNFing this one already.

Don't know if it's PMS, but parts of this story made me cry. Love it when a story wrenches genuine emotion from me, because I'm a hard to please reader.

BARF. The old "he fucked me so good that I think I'm falling for him" trope. THAT makes it a 2-star read, for me. 🙄

This one started out strong, but I'm half way in, and feel like I'm just reading pages and pages of explicit porn. Hella annoyed and BORED.

Oh, wait...it IS a series! Okay! I think I'm down with this story now. 🎉

More boring than interesting. However, the interesting parts are very interesting and appealing. Furthermore, I acknowledge that the boring parts are necessary to the world-building in this story, which could (should) lead us into a very satisfying, over-all enjoyable series, should this author choose to turn it into one.

A bit of a slow start. Characters didn't sound appealing to me, but I kept on reading. So far, I like it, and the characters have grown on me.

So many rave reviews for this book, but I'm 30% in and BORED. Have started and stopped several times because it fails to engage me.

I feel like I'm reading about an ass-dragging game of Clue and it's giving me a headache. Can we please just get to the part where it was Professor Plum in the library with a candlestick, already?

Hmmm...I detect some similarities with Grace Draven's Radiance here: Night-dwelling non-human people, different (non-human) colored skin, a female general, and a non-human/human wedding to forge an alliance between two kingdoms. The writing, however, pales in comparison to Grace Draven's.

Fuck. Book 1 lured me in and I've just realized that this is an Omegaverse AND Reverse Harem series (which doesn't appeal to me). Also, I'm finding it rather boring, so off to DNF land it goes.

Only 10% in and I'm already captivated. The writing is so good, I can picture it like a movie in my head.

Dude goes from "All the women who work here are whores" to "this one is innocent and sweet" in 0.08 seconds without knowing jack shit about the girl, other than what she looks like. And, of course, she was a "cerulean-eyed," angelic-looking Bella Swan. My eyes almost rolled to the back of my head.

Surprisingly boring, so far.

Bummer. Misspellings and amateurish writing makes it hard to want to continue reading.

Color me INTRIGUED. In fact, only 18% in, and I'm hooked.

Ooof! The premise was promising, but there's too much telling and not enough showing. Also, hard-ass, untouchable demon protagonist went fluffy almost immediately, which bores me.

Struggling to finish this. It's SO cheesy. It's 2022...this formula no longer fits and feels goofy and cartoonish. Have rolled my eyes while reading at least a handful of times.

Man, I used to love Kresley Cole's IAD series and would devour a whole book in a day. This one has taken me days to get through and it's CHEESY AF. I guess the spark is gone for me and IAD.

Was this actually written by Kresley Cole? This story (so far) has none of her firepower or sex appeal. Her stories used to hook me from the 1st chapter, but I'm finding myself simply bored here. 🤷🏻‍♀️
