Tananarive Duuuuuuuue, damn is she a skilled writer.

Might be a little early, but I really like Crystal.

Listening to this one and I'm enjoying it, but narrator's voice for the iPad friend is annoying.

Another DNF, ugh. Swan is so busy beating your head in about how authoritarianism is bad (yep, sure is), that he forgets to tell a compelling story with interesting characters.

Yes, yes, tyranny is bad. Can we do something with the plot already?

This book is a real snooze.

Started listening to this today and had to turn it off after 5 minutes. I appreciate the cultural setting and some of the history, but the writing is so bad - the main character Ben is so wildly inconsistent that he could be two separate characters. The info dumps are lengthy and out of place. The overall writing is just so melodramatic. Ugh.

This is terrible.

Something sneaky is happening here.

This is pretty darn good, the narration for the audiobook is also top notch.

A man writing about an cis woman writing about a gay man? Hmmm.

Family drama? Haunted house mystery? Demons and dreams? What even is this.

The character work is great, but I don't really feel like the overall story is doing anything.

This is proving a lot less interesting than I thought it would be.

Din is such a flirt.

I love, LOVE the actual world of this series, but I'm not the biggest fan of the story itself. I want more weird natural stuff, its all too much on the sidelines and we're subjected to thr boring nature of man that persists through all manner of worlds and stories.

Ahhhhhhh, I love it.

This is so cheeky.

Just kinda casually reading this when I need something "lighter." It's nice *seeing* these characters and events since I can't really visualize what I'm reading.

Finished the first story, Harpman has a knack for how bleak life can be.

This is so weird, in the best way possible. Also, queer.
