Started listening to this today and had to turn it off after 5 minutes. I appreciate the cultural setting and some of the history, but the writing is so bad - the main character Ben is so wildly inconsistent that he could be two separate characters. The info dumps are lengthy and out of place. The overall writing is just so melodramatic. Ugh.
