The perfect read for a new year.

Wow, this is shedding light on the source of the perplexing drift happening to people around me. It’s helpful (and disturbing) to see where these pressures originated. It’s also increasing my gratitude for having church leadership that hasn’t been bought.

Time to see what all the fuss is about :)

Might be a DNF… I love Williams’ art and Moore’s Watchmen (obvs), but the way Moore writes women in this book is like watching Steve Buscemi’s Wozniak say, “How do you do, fellow kids?”

Appreciating how firmly Stark resists chronological snobbery. The figures on modern cult and sect convert demographics is also not what I expected.

These essays are everything I’d hoped they’d be and more. I keep reading passages and wishing I could call my mother—an avid Kinkade collector—to ask her opinion. Here’s your reminder to ask your parents everything you want to know while they’re still alive.
