Having Aiden Snow (a well known narrator who reads for a lot of spicy books) the male narrator in this story is diabolical!

Author uses the word “masticate” way too often. And in one instance it didn’t even make sense lol

Yeah this is going in my “dnf” list. All the forced proximity and robbing of autonomy. I get it he’s the bad guy. But I can’t struggle through this to get to the part where he’s reformed. I just keep getting more and more pissed and I’d rather she slit his throat than fall for him.

Took me a second to realize this was from the friend’s pov lol so happy to see Aiden Snow as a narrator. He’s my favorite. Looking forward to the story to come.

The Hazrax lies. Do not believe the Hazrax. Its rune might have been a gift. And given freely. But the cost of its use isn’t paid to the Hazrax. The cost paid to whatever keeps the balance in the universe. I do not like the Hazrax.

Chapter 32. This story is good so far. I like it more than the first one. But man the first like 20 chapters move slow. Not slow enough that I wanted to stop but I feel like the build up to whatever is coming is so gradual I can barely feel it.

More lore. More magic. More world building. All much better than the first book.

I’m still annoyed that the antagonist/mmc kicked the fmc so she’d be forced to kneel. I wanted her to use her dagger and stab him in the foot for that.

I’m terrible at tagging and only started doing it recently. Most of my reads won’t be tagged simply because I can’t remember what was what lol

I don’t much care for the female narrator. She’s too breathy, inhaling too sharply. But the story is good so far.

Having to pause here for a bit cuz the side quests to even get to the main story plot are getting exhausting.
