I literally do not understand the conclusions wren draws sometimes. Ice man will say something very plainly and relatable and she somehow twists it into the worst faith interpretation and then 5 chapters later figures out what literally everyone else got at the first sentence. Makes her seem dumb as hell

I know the author wants a lighthearted scene but this tone feels fucked up after these people brutalized her a few days ago and now the narrative feels like it was written without that scene in mind

She asked him to spare this npc he's like "no" and she risks her life to save the npc and he kills the npc and immediately they're buddy buddy patting each other down like he didn't just do the exact thing she passionately didn't want him to do?? Did this book have an editor?

Okay the author knows Elena is terrible so I'm warming up to her a lot. The cutesy "dancing for the people" opening really threw off the intent of her character and makes it seem like she's supposed to be a Disney princess, I think that scene could have happened later

Also given how much goddamn description there is I still have no clue what either protagonist looks like. I barely know what her dad looks like and he was described. I just know he's big and scary and that's it

Okay imma need some confirmation that the author knows Elena is extremely unlikeable because if the author doesn't know she's awful I won't be able to enjoy this at all

Also there's an obscene amount of description to the point that my eyes keep glazing over but at the same time I'm struggling to actually visualize anything which happens a lot when the descriptions get too verbose

Ngl the dancing thing kinda weirds me out in a way I can't put my finger on. I thought when they said dancing at first they meant stripping which I actually could get behind but street dancing doesn't really vibe with me for some reason

She just saw Hado smile when he's demonstrated to be a silhouette to her. There's been a lot of slips where she sees mortal expressions and I blame that on the editor, they should have caught that.
