Ice man will say something very plainly and relatable and she somehow twists it into the worst faith interpretation and then 5 chapters later figures out what literally everyone else got at the first sentence. I know the author wants a lighthearted scene but this tone feels fucked up after these people brutalized her a few days ago and now the narrative feels like it was written without that scene in mind

Okay the author knows Elena is terrible so I'm warming up to her a lot. The cutesy "dancing for the people" opening really threw off the intent of her character and makes it seem like she's supposed to be a Disney princess, I think that scene could have happened later

Also given how much goddamn description there is I still have no clue what either protagonist looks like. I barely know what her dad looks like and he was described. I just know he's big and scary and that's it
