Is this book for real?

My first go on The Pilgrim’s Regress. This is clever and insightful, just as always for CSL, but the transitions and narrative structure are a bit clunky. It’s hard to critique a genius. I am reading for a book club, we’ll see how it goes. I can read in small doses.

I’m 2/3 the way through this book and it’s finally captivated my interest. This has been a painfully tedious one for me. So many poor, nonsensical decisions…

This is an accessible text but filled with so much information that my note taking is slowing my reading. I am, though, learning a great deal and would rather read slowly and diligently then to mark it as checked in my reading challenge. I realize I will not be successful in accomplishing my reading challenge this year, but I’m coming to terms with that.
