I did not know that Steven King was an addict. It does not surprise me. I’m proud of him for changing his ways. I’m sure it’s not easy.

More bike riders make bike riding safer. Bike lanes seem to make car driving safer. People seem to pay better attention when there is a chance for a bicycle encounter. Cycling in the Netherlands is more safe than in America. The Dutch have a lot my cyclists than America and in the Netherlands no one wears a helmet.

This is basically a memoir and it seems like Steven King is also the narrator. I really hate to say this. Of course his teacher disciplined him for what he was writing. Steven goes on to say that basically any artist at some point will be discouraged from their craft and love. I often wonder what makes a child thrive from the discouragement and which ones fold.

Dear Glennon. I know that thousands of people have written to you seeking advice. After reading your book, and keeping the ideas of being wild and uncared, I am very sure I do not need to write to you for advice. Your book has taught me to listen to myself and know what is right for me. I like and don’t fully understand your concept of knowing. I’m not stiff-necked. I do need advise sometimes. Your book is it

Women are caged. Men are caged. They cages that men are have partly to do with feelings. Men are supposed to be strong and stoic. When men show emotion it makes people uncomfortable. We have to teach our boys that emotions are good. It’s ok to be emotional. Maybe is boys showed more emotions then there would be less violent actions.

So far, this book is fascinating. I’m learning about a man who is like the 38th generation of a lineage who place an old African instrument. It is like a wooden xylophone. The cultural significance of the teaching and playing of this instrument is some a Unisco World Heritage cultural phenomenon that is protected.

I love it when some books change my thinking so much that they cause me to change my actions. This book is doing that for me.
