I love it. I love that novels are telling the truth about US history, not just the white folks’ version. I love the characters. Not Henry though.

Lots of clear techniques to stop spiraling!!!

This book is very similar to Black AF but in a feminine voice. More anecdotes than generalized history because as the author says, every Tribe is different. General breakdown is the differences between identifying and being an actual member of a certain Tribe, how the Americans used the Census as a way to pigeonhole black and native people (copied by the Nazi’s, btw). Timely read.

I wish I could start over in book 1!!! It’s like the author decided a bookworm needed a cozy mystery series of murders all set around books and libraries. So good! I will be going back to the 1st book, of course.

Omg this has a really good spooky start. Let’s see how it plays out.

Better than any novel I ever read.

Slightly slow start but getting better. Patchett is so good at making you feel like you are in her stories as they happen.
