If I don’t know nothing about Victor LaValle, he’s going to write a nut ass book!!!! And I mean this with all due respect. This man’s imagination is something else entirely!!!!

This tew much!

The characters are both so unlikable and problematic and yet I can’t look away.

Jackson is one lucky m-fer

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying this book. Need more recs like this

Ms. Byrd was an OG 🙌🏽🕊️

Girl wtf!

Book boyfriend of the year: Jackson

Wow wow wow I’m in shock

“But when a door swings open wide, unexpected things can come rushing in.”

Damn, Buddylee

I’ve been trying to finish this book for a month. I am bored

Stella needs to grow up. You don’t love that boy

Dnf

I’m still not really a fan of Ashanti

Lucy is goofy 😭😭😭😭

Tbf I didn’t know this was going to be an interracial romance when I requested it from Netgalley nor when I started reading it. I kept going because the writing was pretty decent. But here we are at the end and the MMC is pissing me tf off!!

Age will never stop people from being messy

I really hate the dynamic between Harper and Jordan.

Are Harper and Jordan really still doing this dance?

Harper doesn’t learn. He’s still a clown.

This book got really dark. I was expecting dark romance, but this is really a superhero novel. I love that for me

29 dates ❤️❤️❤️❤️

These people are nuts!!!!

Ashanti, girl, you can’t be mad at anyone for losing that property but yourself.

A chef goes to Paris for a month all expenses paid and all she can do is pout in the room cause her man is busy working — wild!

Le Cordon Bleu is right there!

Angel, girl you in danger!!

Being proposed to by a widowed billionaire after a month of dating won’t well.

The last book I read that was this polarizing was “You Made A Fool of Death With Your Beauty” by Akwaeke Emezi. Sheesh!

The self-deprecation and envy in this novel is annoying me already.

I really like this series but there’s one too many characters with matching names. ATP I need a family tree.
