أما القصة التي وصلت إلينا، عبر العصور فتتعلق بالحض على الإقتداء بمن يدرّبون الأولاد على السرقة وسواها من الجنايات، كان الصبيان يتعلمون السرقة كوسيلة لتطوير روح المبادرة والمكر وممارستها في الغزو، ولم تكن السرقة تعتبر جريمة؛ بل إنّ الجريمة في أن يُقبض على السارق!
