Once wolf appears, it’s hard to get through until his death. I feel like the pace of the book stops and you keep wait for the momentum to pick up again. Only to be continually bugged by slow and heavenly nature of reverend Gardner. As a first read it’s a great stop and cringe moment full of tension but as a re-read it’s annoying.

This book hits me oddly and I never really connect with characters like in other long books. The story is good but affects me in a odd manner.

Currently at most 3.0 rating.
This is not an adult novel… this is a YA or New adult. Excessive swearing doesn’t make an adult novel.

First 15% of book is total fluff. No plot given, minimal world building, confusing and nonsensical lore built up atriums things and objects you have no connection to or care about. Most characters are forgettable.

Ant is starting A Court of Silver Flames (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #5)
3.75 - 2/3 book was good and paced well with great character development. Last 1/3 was a cluster of events just haphazardly thrown together. Not a fan of the end 1/3 of the book. Probably will skip the last 1/3 if I reread
