I don't know what I'd hoped for, but I don't think this is scratching that itch. However, I like Levy's writing and Kristin Atherton's narration.

Everyone seems to love this book, commenting on the beautiful writing. What's wrong with me? I am struggling with the writing!

I do not know what to make of The Pigeon, but Süskind's description of Jonathan Noel's struggle to concentrate at work after seeing the pigeon perfectly captures my concentration struggles -- minus the pigeon.

Do you really think that a young man would use the word "lad" in 15,000 BC?

I just finished a passage that made me pause and think about change.
"How could they foresee that, in a few brief years, their fellow sharers of field and road would be gone for ever?"

He's talking about horses as transportation, but this made me think about the changes one might see in a long lifetime.

This is slow going. Do I push through, or do I DNF?

I borrowed the print book, the e-book, and the audiobook from the library. Will I finish this faster?
