Carl seems to know things about Borant that the reader isn't privy to. How is he confident they penny pinch? Why is he so confident that Donut and himself are so valuable?

This is an enjoyable read. The world building is superb as are most of the characters. The foreshadowing for future levels/books has me hooked. I'm just irked by the convenient way Carl seems to kill off enemies...lob bomb = win

As much as I'm enjoying this, I'm starting to find it a little repetitive. Unless I'm missing some kind of role-playing 'joke', nearly every boss has been killed by Carl lobbing a bomb into a room.

So many things are being set up. I'm having a great time with this book.

I'm hooked. So far this has been incredibly entertaining. Looks like I'm going to need all 8 books in the series. Yes, I've enjoyed those 88 pages that much. 😆

Batman Annual #11

I really liked this daft 'Penguin in Love' story. I'm not entirely sure what the point of it was but it was a fun read that highlighted both Penguin and Batman had different sides to them.

At least I now know who the Teen Titans are 😆 Nightwing is a bit of a whinger in this issue, Batman admits he's lonely and Robin is an accident waiting to happen.

A visually interesting story but it's irritating that another non-Batman? issue is referenced as being key to filling in subplot.

I'd not heard of the Fluronic Man before.

Now this is more like it. A grittier Batman is looking for a serial killer. The shift in tone is superb. Things get personal for Batman, he makes mistakes and The Dumpster Killer is a nasty piece of work.

Maybe Jim Starlin is a name I should look out for more.

As seems to be the case with these older stories, plot is purely a mechanism to get from A to B, and is fluff at best. Its the organic 'family' life and high values that stand out. I do like how real everyone seems to be.

A strange tale that dips into the arts and how its perceived. Seems mime is unpopular. 😆

Heavy metal Simon & Garfunkul. Seems the youth of Gotham like it. I might be more on Camilla Cameo's side. Shocking!

I do like how nasty Two-Face can be but his reliance on the number two leads to some ridiculously convoluted schemes. How Batman and Robin solve these puzzles is convenience gone mad.

Still, lots of fun with fantastic artwork.

A fun Two-Face story. A ballsy move to try and steal millions based on the idea that the guards won't shoot into crowds of innocent people.

I like that Jason Todd is now aware of who may have killed his parents. Exciting times ahead.

I'm loving the artwork and the simplistic, fun storytelling.

Although I do seem to be reading a Batman origin story every 5 issues, this was an enjoyable.

Mrs. Gunn was clearly a wrong 'un. It makes me smile how the 'brilliant' Batman doesn't see it.

I'm sure I read a story with Jason Todd the other day. 🤔

Legends of the Dark Knight #132-#136

Seige - An enjoyable story that diped into the creation of Batman beyond the murder of Wayne's parents. Again, probably too many pages for the story it was trying to tell with a lot of speech text.

I liked the idea of a war in Gotham. I hope that premise returns as it really gave Batman and the police an interesting dynamic.

Batman Black and White #4

I loved Gary Gianni's artwork.

The story was intriguing. Unless I missed something, isn't a zeppelin possible the most obvious mode of escape ever? 😆

So now we know who makes sone of Batman's gadgets.

Batman Black and White #1

Artwork by José Munoz was a refreshing change, although a few panels were difficult to decipher.

The story made me think of Hellraiser with the trumpet replacing the box.

I'm not entirely sure I understood the story. I wasn't familiar with Wyndam Vane (should I be?)

Loved the mania this issue portrayed.
