Too many useless details. This should have been a short story instead of weighed down with stuff this every other page.

After three decades, I knew almost every street and alleyway by heart. Broadstairs was a good hour’s drive along the M2 and A299. I would have to grab a meal deal at the Shell garage on Maidstone Road. They had a handy toilet there as well.
