Sandra is on page 46 of 396 of Uncommon Faith: The Early Years of Opus Dei (1928-1943)
After the last few years, it's a book I exactly needed to pick up. Rediscovering the fervent love Saint Josemaria has in his faith, his strong devotion of prayer even (and most needed) in his toughest times, I can relate to.
He's bringing me back to God and making us closer again through his experiences. (I'm half asleep on this so I may tweek it later)

'When her father called, my father cried. "Tell me how can one live without daughters," he sobbed.'

Such a powerful chapter I read on the way home, and it was a struggle to hold my tears back. It's hard to imagine what her family's gone through, and what many families are still going through even now.

At the end of each chapter she goes back and refers to something that connects back to the introduction. It makes me smile.

It's actually the SECOND page, and I've read the first 2 pages 3 times already. I hope this isn't going to turn out to be another Lord of the Rings goal where it took me 10 years to open it and try it again lol.
And even though it's paperback, it's still heavy to carry!! xD
So this will be my "stay-at-home" book (I can't imagine how heavy hard cover would have been LOL)

I loved the last chapter with the bit of history of her village. It's strange because history almost always bores me, but reading it with her voice in my head... the fact that the book starts off with a smile-worthy prologue and the first chapter describing the day she got shot, made it so much easier to read. I couldn't try to read it in any other voice. Chapter 2 - on to her father :)

(884) Faramir is so nice. (Don't turn on them) I'm kinda happy gollum is gone but I share Sam's feelings on this one. I wonder what's in store for those two now?

(872) I back-tracked but i'm finally a bit ahead of where I left off..Anyways, where the heck is Gollum?? Better not be up to no good, but we all know that's what he does best.
Also, I know Sam's being a bit rude to him but you gotta admit it's funny ;)

note to self: on page 803
(page numbers are continued from first book)
I just finished reading the first half of this book so "book 4" is starting the tale of Frodo and Sam's journey.
I liked Book 3. It was interesting to see how it's going when Pippin touches the Orthanc stone and it awakens this desire, this "curiosity" within him that have evil implications. And how strong his "hobbit" Will is.

This Ent or "Fangorn" is so nice! I love him. He seems very homey. I complained a lot about Tom Bombadil (like A LOT) because getting through his part was so hard, but he reminds me of him... but in a much more enjoying way. Go Fangorn!

My pages are a bit off since I'm reading the ebook version which is comprised of the whole set- anyways, waiting for my hard copy!
So far the journey seems really interesting, I love how they go from one character to the next, continuing the storyline and not leaving holes (yet). I was surprised that it wouldn't be telling the story from Frodo's point of view/his adventure, I hope he comes by soon (no clue! haha!)
