I promise this book isn’t bad but it put me to sleep AGAIN this time on a flight!!!

I keep falling asleep while reading - not because it’s bad, just because I’m sleepy

I fear the part 2 -> part 3 transition may be even worse here than it was in manacled…

I don’t remember when part two of manacled ends and I am FILLED with dread because I forgot how much these two mean to meeeeee

Nobody and I mean NOBODY does slow burn like SenLinYu. Also I am making no attempts to understand the magic system and just pretending alchemy is magic.

Hammond is such an evil dude in this version and I kind of love it. Also Nedry’s death was much more violent, I almost feel bad for him.

This book could literally be 50% shorter if characters didn’t repeat things over and over, it’s like reading the same conversations every few pages. But I need to know what happens!!! Also mom kavanagh remains 💯💯

Never trust the pill is my takeaway so far. Also whenever I read “hey, queen” I just think of it like “hey queen 💅” and it really takes you out of the angst

Soooooo I read a huge chunk of this on my ~work trip~ and can confirm this lady loves a main character with angst and trauma.

And that is why you always keep a fire extinguisher handy, kids.

This is such a perfect pool read. Light and engaging and summery.
