Kellie Bath is on page 180 of 517 of The Enchantress Returns (The Land of Stories, #2)
I usually read in my room before I go to bed, or, if I am in the middle of a very good book, I will take a homework break and read a chapter or two of my favorite book. My favorite genre is realistic fiction because I love relating to the characters and plot events. I don't normally buy a lot of books, but I love going to book fairs at school. I love reading and on weekends my Dad and I read together in the backyard.

Kellie Bath is finished with A French Princess in Versailles (The French Girl #3)
In this book, the author uses strong words to build setting, character, and mood, and presents a picture for the reader. "The air was dampening"; dampening gives you the depressed mood of rain and gloom. "Your outrageous behavior"; outrageous shows that a character is furious. "The interior, however, was astounding"; with just the word astounding, you already know that the setting is beautiful and breath-taking.

However, I don't understand how this person saw Maude as arrogant. If anything, the character was portrayed insecure, doubting herself more often than she should.

"Maude is a great main character; passionate and determined, even if slightly arrogant- but it all works." I agree and disagree with this person's review. I definitely believe Maude has extreme passion and determination, this was proved by her passion for her craft, music, as well as her being determined to get through all of the problems life has to offer her, like dealing with scandals, family troubles, and love.

This book is a sequel of what happens directly after the last book I read. In this version, the main character, Maude, is now a household name, and you'd think she has everything, but you'd be wrong. Even now, she has the same amount of struggles as she did when she was a slave in her own home. She has to deal with a nosy reporter trying to make her look bad, an unaccepting family, betrayal, and, of course, love.

This book tells of a girl who is treated like a slave rather than a daughter by two cruel people. She is a self-taught singer, and is sent to New York to record an album. Throughout the book, the girl, Maude, develops in many ways: she finds her true identity, strengthens her sound, and learns about her family and what is important to her. She was written to inspire people to work hard and count their blessings.

Anna Adams was born in France, but was partially raised in the U.S. She is constantly fascinated by both stories in French and English. She is currently living in Paris, France where she studies as a law student. When she isn't writing, Anna Adams loves to travel all over Europe. I can tell from her background, that her stories are greatly influenced by where she has lived and grown.

In this book, the main character, Maude, has a passion for the art of singing. In my real life, I absolutely love to sing, which is partly the reason I chose to read this book; because the book centers around her love of singing and music, I relate to Maude which makes me more emotionally invested in this particular book. This makes it more enjoyable for me, rather than someone who knows nothing about music.

Kellie Bath is finished with Thirteen (The Winnie Years, #4)
The setting in this book is in a typical suburban community, much like Manhattan Beach. Since the setting of this book and Manhattan Beach are so similar, the people, the way they act, and the problems they have are similar, as well. Although this book is character driven, this story would have been much different in a jungle. The characters wouldn't have the same conflicts, desires, or focuses that they have.

In this book, Lauren Myracle uses coming of age to show character development. Throughout the book and the series, Winnie, the main character, matures as she grows and learns about life, family, and most importantly, herself. She grows up and changes her opinions and the way she looks at the world. Lauren Myracle provides a demonstration for the readers on how as you grow up, you change and develop, as well.

I really enjoy this book because of the dramatic style of writing. Desni Dantone always has me on the edge of my seat. I am constantly looking forward to learning what happens next. Desni Dantone combines mystery, adventure, and character development to create an exceptionally fascinating novel.

This book was written in the point of view of a high school girl named LaVaughn. LaVaughn babysits for a 17-year old mom's imaginative two-year old and her rambunctious baby girl. As the book progresses, she develops a strong relationship to this little family and becomes an important member of it, as well, all while working toward her dream of going to college.

In this book. Winnie develops many traits that make her unique. Throughout the book, she grows up and finds who she is and who she wants to be. She also finds out that those two are very similar. Although she has to deal with her mom, older sister, ex-friend, and any other challenges life throws at her, she remains positive and always looks for the light at the end of the tunnel, and that is why she is so inspiring.

Kellie Bath is finished with The Giver (The Giver, #1)
In this book, I really related to Jonas being afraid when he first becomes the Receiver of Memory. Jonas was nervous, didn't know what to expect, and feared the worst. When I was in my first dance competition, I didn't know anything about the scoring, and didn't know if my dance would be good enough for this competition. Jonas related to me in that sense, so that part of the book really stood out to me.

In this book, assignments are always given to children that are turning twelve. However, in the middle of the ceremony, the person giving out assignments skips over Jonas! Jonas begins to panic and worry until she finally calls his name. Jonas ends up receiving the most honored job in the community, Receiver of Memory, but this job requires pain and hard work. While reading, I felt worried and scared for Jonas.

In this book Jonas, the main character, lives in an abnormal society. At age twelve, you get a job, Elders watch every child all the time, and a child, along with a name for them, is given to a family unit instead of being born into a family. However, people in this society thinks that this is just how the world works, and the is no reason to question it. It is fascinating how their society compares to ours.

In this book, Peter is an orphan that has to go on a ship to become a servant for King Zarboff. He has always been a leader, and wants it to stay that way. When everyone around him is afraid, he does not show his fear. He is bold, as well as smart, and that comes in handy throughout the book. Peter's personality is an important part of the events in the book because his decisions and actions effect the entire story.

This book starts off with a few boys from an orphanage. Peter is the leader of the boys since he always says he is one year older than the oldest one. In the beginning of the book, they have to be moved from the orphanage and taken to a ship. The ship is old and beaten down, and the boys are immediately afraid of it. The captain, Slank, looks even worse than the ship, so the boys start to expect the worst.

In this book, the main character Bryce has a best friend named Garrett. Garrett has a simple life, and cares a lot about social status. Throughout the book, he makes Bryce lose focus of the more important things in life until the end of the book. Bryce eventually breaks away from him, which shows how Bryce evolved and became a better person. Without Garret, we wouldn't see the development of Bryce's character.

Kellie Bath is finished with Little House in the Big Woods (Little House, #1)
In this book, I really enjoy reading about the setting. I enjoy the setting because it takes place in a giant forest, in a time where you have to make everything yourself. I like reading about how lives back then compare to lives right now. For example, in the winter, they have to preserve most of their food so that it will last them through the winter, but now, we don't need to preserve food because we have stores.

In this book, the family celebrates Christmas and they have family over to their house and have a big Christmas dinner. The children also receive presents on Christmas morning from Santa and their parents. Laura, the youngest child, received a beautiful doll from her parents. This replaced her old doll which was just corn rapped in a blanket. This shows that her parents are very generous and care about her very much.

In this book, both time and place affects the story greatly. It takes place in a giant forest, with no civilization, in the 1809s. They live in the middle of no where, so they have to make everything themselves, and live off of the wild. They need to constantly work hard because if they don't, they won't survive. This affects their lifestyle, their chores, and their hobbies.
