Kellie Bath is finished
The setting in this book is in a typical suburban community, much like Manhattan Beach. Since the setting of this book and Manhattan Beach are so similar, the people, the way they act, and the problems they have are similar, as well. Although this book is character driven, this story would have been much different in a jungle. The characters wouldn't have the same conflicts, desires, or focuses that they have.

In this book, Lauren Myracle uses coming of age to show character development. Throughout the book and the series, Winnie, the main character, matures as she grows and learns about life, family, and most importantly, herself. She grows up and changes her opinions and the way she looks at the world. Lauren Myracle provides a demonstration for the readers on how as you grow up, you change and develop, as well.
