Ryan Koch is finished with The Chessmen of Mars (Barsoom #5)
No, this book is not an allegory because the characters and setting don't tie into anything historically. No situations in this book reflect human issues either.

Ryan Koch is finished with Thuvia, Maid of Mars (Barsoom, #4)
The mood up to this point feels ominous. When Thuvia went missing due to an opposing Duke, Carthoris went after her. The dangers he passes through and the imminence of a fight between Carthoris and the Duke makes me feel an ominous feeling.

Ryan Koch is finished with The Warlord of Mars (Barsoom, #3)
The inciting incident that drew the main character into the novel was when he began searching for someone he lost. It lead him to many other places that tied into the story and caused many side-conflicts. It started with exposition on what happened before he left on the hunt and continued into rising action. These stories are still rather interesting, but it's getting very repetitive.

Ryan Koch is finished with The Gods of Mars (Barsoom #2)
The setting of this book is on Mars, "Barsoom" according to the aliens. It takes place on many places on Mars, but mostly the Therns' fortress, a forest, and the home of the Black Pirates. The forest is full of living plants and shows up at the beginning only. It then moves to the fortress. The fortress is impenetrable and, like the home of the Black Pirates, is home to self-proclaimed gods. This book was great!

Ryan Koch is finished with The Light (Morpheus Road, #1)
The main character in this book faces both internal and external problems. He faces the internal problem of why his friend disappeared and whether or not he could have prevented it. He also faces the external problem of Gravedigger and the demon Damon, who is trying to kill him. The character might learn to trust himself and others from these problems. The book was thrilling!

Marshall Seaver seems to be the main protagonist in this book. I like the fact that Marshall created the main antagonist in the series. It's interesting to see a antagonist inadvertently created by the protagonist. I do not, however, like how weird and immature Marshall is. He seems way too childish in his ways. The book seems interesting so far.

She goes on a killing spree with the adults on the outside watching, but Caine sacrifices himself to stop her. The characters have grown and matured throughout the series, and they seem to become adults in this book.

Adam Fluke meets a girl named Sara and falls in love with her. Adam realizes the man who abused young Sara is his biological dad, but is forced to leave on a trip to learn if they are going to have a child. The title of the book does fit the book. The book is basically about a man whose life is a series of mistakes, hence the title Fluke.

Janet is "hired" by Dennis Walker to help with the investigation. The manage to steal Tom Wy,an's laptops no take a legal document with the information they needed. Meanwhile, Jon admits he lead the manipulation, and the company is brought to justice. I would probably be friends with Dennis, as he is a very trustworthy person, and is also very kind.

Janet was hired by her old friend who works at a company with shady customers. She begins to realize the company is not what it seems, as things begin to go downhill.

Who is the "bad guy"?
Why does the company trust the shady customers?

Janet has been hired by her childhood friend to work at a botique with shady companies as their customers. Janet then begins to take a liking to a coworker who is actually trying to bring the company to justice. The author writes in a shady perspective and switches from character to character, which I like. However, I don't like how she made the storyline unclear
